Abstract: A racket for striking a ball, in particular a tennis racket includes a closed inner stringed frame which is at least partly enclosed by an outer support frame, with both frames being hingedly connected by at least two joints such that a local rotation of both frames relative to each other is permitted at the points of articulation. The joints are arranged relative to each other in such a manner that the inner frame is prevented from carrying out a rigid-body motion relative to the outer support frame and that both frames are prevented from carrying out a translational movement perpendicular to each other perpendicular to the racket plane.
