  • Publication number: 20110239395
Abstract: A wiper assembly (3) is provided comprising a wiper arm (4) having a longitudinal axis (X-X) and arranged to carry a wiper blade (8). The wiper arm (4) comprises a free end (5). A support member (6) rotatable around a first axis of rotation (A-A) extends substantially transversely to said longitudinal axis (X-X) of the wiper arm (4), and is arranged to support the wiper arm (4). The support member (6) comprises a passage (13) into which the free end (5) of the wiper arm (4), at least partly, projects. The free and (5) of the wiper arm (4) and the passage (13) define a second axis of rotation (B-B) about which the wiper arm (4) is rotatable. The second axis of rotation (B-B) is different from the longitudinal axis (X-X) of the wiper arm (4).

  • Patent number: 5397034
Abstract: A device (1) for finely atomizing fluids. A combination switch (18) is provided, with which an electric motor (4) for a pump (5) for spraying efficiency is activated and simultaneously the pressure compensation in the container (7) of the fluid is effected. Moreover, above the electric motor (4) with the pump (5) a space is created for storing batteries (16). Furthermore, a suction line (39), constructed of an elastic material and extending into the container (7) is helically formed, whereby a discharge of the fluid is also possible in an inclined or upside-down position of the container (7).

  • Patent number: 5364111
Abstract: Proposed is a sealing arrangement for shafts with very small diameters, with an essentially U-shaped lip seal (6) subjected to the force of an axially acting helical compression spring (9). The two sealing lips (6.1 and 6.2) of the lip seal (6) are by thrust parts (8) with working surfaces (8.1) of wedge-shaped arrangement spread apart in such a way that the radially inner sealing lip (6.1) is pressed tightly on the shaft outside circumference and the radially outer sealing lip (6.2), independently thereof, tightly on a housing wall (5).

  • Patent number: 4474428
Abstract: A remote-controlled rear-view mirror assembly having a mirror is movably supported in a housing and can be adjusted by an electric motor from a remote point. An electric motor is mounted in the mirror housing and has an electrically reversible direction of rotation and a stepdown gearing. There is a drive shaft having approximately at its center a driven coaxial cylinder of enlarged diameter with respect to the diameter of the drive shaft and a central annular shoulder dividing the coaxial cylinder into two substantially equal sections. A slipping clutch connects the motor with the drive shaft. Two eccentrics are rotatably mounted on the drive shaft on opposite sides respectively of the equal sections of the coaxial cylinder, each of these eccentrics comprises a cylindrical section and an eccentric disc. There are two wrap springs each of these wrap springs being wound in the same direction partly on one of the two equal sections and partly on one of the two cylindrical section of the eccentrics respectively.

  • Patent number: 4264142
Abstract: A setting or adjusting device for rearview mirrors with a mirror plate secured to an arm which is pivotal both about a substantially vertical axis and about a substantially horizontal axis, yet is mounted non-rotatably in an axis perpendicular to the two axes, on a mirror holder. An adjusting unit engages the arm acting against a return spring, and comprises two tongs-like members rotatably mounted on the mirror holder about a common axis. The tongs-like members have first legs which accommodate the arm between them, and second legs which cooperate respectively with a controllable adjusting drive such a manner that a pivotal movement of the first legs respectively takes place about the common axis so that a displacement of the arm which is guided between the two first legs occurs which is transmitted in the form of a tilting movement about the horizontal and vertical axes respectively to the mirror plate.

  • Patent number: 4247172
Abstract: A setting and adjusting device for rearview mirrors mounted on a vehicle body comprising a mirror housing adapted to be mounted on the vehicle body and a mirror plate having a rear surface and a front reflecting surface. The mirror plate is adjustably mounted in the housing for pivoting and tilting of the mirror plate about a substantially vertical axis and a substantially horizontal axis, respectively. End stops limit the pivoting and tilting of the mirror plate. Controllable adjusting devices upon actuation and release thereof, respectively, pivot and tilt the mirror plate about the horizontal and vertical axes into predetermined lateral and vertical positions, respectively, and against the stops, respectively. A pivot lever and a bearing head, respectively, are operatively mounted to the mirror plate so as to positively engage the mirror plate in a pivot and tilt direction, respectively, and so as to be freely moveable relative to the mirror plate in a non-pivoting and non-tilting direction, respectively.

  • Patent number: 4234246
Abstract: With a remote controllable rearview mirror for vehicles or the like, the mirror plate is suspended without play by means of pivotally-moveable articulations on at least two, preferably three points, which points are arranged spaced from one another, whereby one suspension point is stationary and connected rigidly with the mirror housing, while one or the other suspension points is fastened respectively on one swingable arm, which arm simultaneously can be formed as a transmission member of the control device, and is constrained for guidance in the plane of pivoting under friction such that there is present a quasi-rigid connection of the mirror plate with the mirror housing.
