  • Patent number: 9034462
Abstract: The invention relates to a metal-cutting machining process for a semi-finished product having a predetermined shape and at least one machining surface which has the steps: applying a protective foil having a predetermined elongation at break to the at least one machining surface with a predetermined adhesive force, placing a metal-cutting tool in a predetermined position above the machining surface, exerting a predetermined mechanical force in a predetermined direction for a predetermined length of time to the tool for carrying out a metal-cutting process on the semi-finished product and lifting the tool from the at least one machining surface after the predetermined length of time.

  • Patent number: 7688084
Abstract: A testing apparatus and a method for detecting a contact deficiency of an electrically conductive connection. The testing apparatus comprises a measuring chamber, in which several system elements of the connection that are connected in an electrically conductive fashion are positioned, a heat radiator that is supplied with energy and the transferred thermal radiation of which is emitted into the measuring chamber and directed toward the region of the system elements that, after having been heated, generate a thermal field of the insulated and the metallic system components of these connected system elements, a thermal (image) acquisition unit for optically capturing the generated thermal field and for realizing a signal conversion into a thermal image of the connected system elements, and a thermal (image) reproduction unit for the visual reproduction of the converted thermal image.
    Type: Grant

Date of Patent: March 30, 2010
    Assignee: Airbus Deustschland GmbH

  • Publication number: 20070025049
Abstract: Nowadays during assembly, foil or adhesive tape is used to protect bearings in passenger door fittings. An assembly protection device for an aircraft component is stated, which assembly protection device comprises a sealing device. In this way the assembly protection device can simply be firmly slid into the component to be protected so that effective sealing during assembly is ensured. Furthermore, the assembly protection device is reusable.
