  • Patent number: 7882774
Abstract: A brushcutter blade with an undulated peripheral cutting edge, wherein the edge alternates partly circular cutting sections, with partly arcuate, radially recessed cutting sections. Recessed cutting sections provide accelerated radial cutting and also additional axial shredding. Auxiliary axial segments are formed or deflected out of the blade body around a base line or juncture with the blade, at angles acute to the plane of the blade, and the openings through the blade created thereby, are radially outward of the juncture. The segments are configured to provide an inclined leading edge for each segment, that cuts a laterally extended path with the movement of the blade, and enhances both radial and axial shredding. A contrasting vivid color band on distal cutting sections optically merges into a distinctively visible cutting edge for obstacle avoidance and safety enhancement.

  • Patent number: 7740011
Abstract: An archery bow includes a bottom limb with first and second ends, a top limb with first and second ends, a leaf spring attached to the bottom limb, a bowstring spanning limb distals pivotally connected top and bottom limbs, such that a cantilevered second end of the top limb enacts a tension on the spring. A bow includes a bottom limb with first and second ends, an axial slot in the second end, a front and rear slat, a top limb with first and second ends, wherein the second end fits movably within the slot, a bowstring spanning limb distals, top and bottom limbs pivotally connected, such that a cantilevered second end of the top limb movingly fits the slot and drawback deforms the slats. A bow includes opposing limbs pivotally connected with spaced distal ends spanned by a bowstring, a cantilevered limb directly enacting a tension on a spring on the opposing limb.

  • Patent number: 7171798
Abstract: A brush cutter blade for shredding of grasses, weeds, vines and brush and also for saw cutting of saplings and tree branches, comprising a circular saw blade member with auxiliary cutting elements projecting from the underside of the blade. Several preferred embodiments include semielliptic and rectangular structures and serrated and non-serrated cutting edges for the auxiliary cutting elements. All embodiments share outwardly sloped, substantially flat structures, circularly and symmetrically disposed, with centrally inclined base lines. This combination of structural features is enacted upon by centrifugal forces during rotation, to create an effective self-cleaning mechanism, whereby cutting debris is urged upward, outward and away from the auxiliary cutting elements.

  • Patent number: 5361570
Abstract: A rotary brush and weed clearing blade for powered implements with a serrated disk and serrated axial elements projecting from one or both disk surfaces for multidirectional cutting and in-situ shredding. The axial cutting elements can be integral or separately mounted and provide efficient operation in blade work directions not possible with conventional blades. Recessed location of projecting cutting elements allows cutting depth calibration for powertrain protection. Staggered axial elements mounting results in a debris-clearing feature through centrifugal forces. Axially projecting cutting elements create a locating guide effect unique to the invention. Use of conventionally serrated cutting elements in new and unique applications transfers their inherent smoothness and yet aggressive efficiency, into this fully multidirectional blade.Design simplicity offers efficient manufacturing.
