  • Patent number: 7331557
Abstract: A furniture drive which is embodied as a double drive and used to move parts of a piece of furniture in relation to each other. The furniture drive comprises two drive units, each one having a linearly movable drive element for pivoting a pivot lever which co-operates with a part to be moved of the piece of furniture when the furniture drive is in the assembly position. The linearly movable drive element or an actuating element connected thereto comprises a recess into which the pivot lever projects in the radial direction thereof when the furniture drive is in the assembled position. An inner wall of the recess forms a bearing surface for the pivot lever. The furniture drive has a low overall height and a simple design, and can thus be produced economically.

  • Patent number: 6945131
Abstract: The invention relates to a furniture drive (2) for adjusting parts of a piece of furniture in relation to one another which is configured as a dual drive. Said drive comprises two drive units (4, 4?), every drive unit (4, 4?) being provided with a linearly displaceable drive element that is functionally linked with a pivoted lever for pivoting said lever in the mounting position of the furniture drive. Said pivoted lever in turn is functionally linked with a part of the piece of furniture to be adjusted. The drive according to the invention is further characterized in that the linearly displaceable drive element or a support element (24) linked therewith is provided with a support surface (26) for supporting the pivoted lever (18) in a position remote from its pivot axis (16) in the mounting position of the furniture drive (2), which surface is inclined with respect to the axis of motion (29) of the drive element.

  • Publication number: 20040020316
Abstract: A dual power unit for movement of a back and a footrest in a power-driven armchair comprises an elongated casing (11) which, close to each end, has a transverse-movement shaft (12) which is connected to a shaft (13) of an electric motor reducer through a transmission-gear (15). The transmission-gear comprises a screw (16) connected to the shaft (13) of the motor reducer and extended transversely of the movement shaft (12) and longitudinally of the casing and a threaded sliding slider (17) into which the screw is screwed down. The cam means is integral with the movement shaft and bears on the slider to convert the sliding motion of the slider along the screw into an angular-rotation movement of the movement shaft. The screw (16) thoroughly crosses the slider (17), and the cam means comprises two cam elements (19, 20) laterally projecting from the movement shaft for resting on thrust surfaces (21, 22) provided on the slider on opposite sides of the screw.
