  • Publication number: 20200254483
Abstract: A method for treating a polymer vessel, comprising treating a surface region of the vessel by exposing the surface region to a high-frequency plasma; and coating the surface region of the vessel with a lasting water-based edible coating. A vessel treated in accordance with the method. The method may include placing the vessel on a conveyor, a robotic arm or system to facilitate the movement of the vessel through the high-frequency plasma device. Including rotating the vessel to treat different parts thereof.
    Type: Application

  • Patent number: 10076003
Abstract: A system for operation of an induction stove includes an AC to DC voltage converter receiving AC voltage from a power input, a voltage sensing unit coupled to the converter and including an optocoupler, and a processor coupled to the sensing unit for receiving voltage information from the unit and controlling at least one of input voltage, input current, and oscillation frequency of a heating coil of the induction stove. A method for operating an induction stove includes converting an AC voltage from a power input to a DC voltage, supplying the DC voltage to a voltage sensing unit coupled to the converter and including an optocoupler, transmitting a voltage measurement from the sensing unit to a processor, and controlling at least one of an input voltage and oscillation frequency to a heating coil of the induction stove via the processor based at least in part on the voltage measurement.

  • Patent number: 8757048
Abstract: A drinking container for decanting, filtering, mixing and/or aerating a beverage. The drinking container comprises a bowl having an upper opening and an aerating cell having a wall, an upper opening along the top of the cell and a plurality of openings or perforations through the wall. The cup-shaped cell has an upwardly facing hollow or concave configuration, optionally with a central upwardly extending protrusion, and is attached to and within the bowl, to decant, filter, mix and/or aerate a beverage that is poured through the bowl upper opening and into the cell upper opening, and subsequently flows through the at least one perforation into the bowl. Preferably, the drinking container is a wine glass having a base and stem supporting the bowl and the beverage is wine.

  • Publication number: 20110190098
Abstract: An exercise device, including a telescoping door-frame-mountable exercise bar having a first and second end, each end having an end-cap, each of said end-caps having an outward facing frictional surface, and at least one of said end-caps containing an interior cam mechanism. Said cam mechanism including a cam wedge with a pivot end and a curved end, wherein said pivot end is pivotably secured to one end of the bar at a pivot point, and said curved end is directed outwards from said pivot point towards the interior side of the flat frictional surface of the end-cap. Said cam wedge having a radial length measured by the distance between the cam wedge's pivot point and its curved end, wherein said radial length is shortest along the central horizontal axis of the cam wedge and increases in length as the radial axis is angled upwards or downwards along the curved end on the cam wedge.
