  • Patent number: 7094972
Abstract: An insulated cover for electrical connectors which includes a transparent housing having a top section and a bottom section, a pair of opposing end walls and a plurality of flexible fingers extending inwardly from the periphery of an aperture in each end wall, which is formed when the top section and bottom section are joined together. The fingers have a plurality of transverse grooves which increase the flexibility of the fingers as they contact the electrical conductors entering the housing. The depth of the grooves increases towards their terminus to increase their flexibility.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: June 23, 2005
Date of Patent: August 22, 2006
Assignee: Thomas & Betts International, Inc.
