  • Publication number: 20240197448
Abstract: An apparatus for intraoral scanning comprises an elongate wand comprising a probe at a distal end of the wand, one or more cameras and a computer processor. The one or more cameras are disposed within the probe and arranged within the probe such that the one or more cameras receive rays of light from an intraoral cavity in a non-central manner, wherein the non-central manner in which the one or more cameras receive the rays of light from the intraoral cavity introduces image distortion. The computer processor is configured to generate a three-dimensional model of an intraoral surface based on images from the one or more cameras, wherein the computer processor compensates for the image distortion specifically introduced by the non-central manner in which the one or more cameras receive the rays of light from the intraoral cavity.

  • Patent number: 12014270
Abstract: A computer-implemented method for mixture distribution estimation of multi-modal future predictions comprising a training phase of a convolutional neural network comprising the steps of: (1) inputting a set of images of a driving environment, each containing at least one object of interest, and a set of future ground truths corresponding to the objects of interest; (2) sampling the solution space of the multi-modal future of the object of interest with an evolving winner-takes-all loss strategy by generating a predetermined number of hypotheses, penalizing all hypotheses equally, gradually releasing one part of the hypotheses by penalizing only the other part of the hypotheses being closer to the corresponding ground truth, so-called winning hypotheses, until only the best hypothesis being the closest one is penalized, and outputting final hypotheses; (3) sequentially fitting a multi-modal mixture distribution of future predictions to the final hypotheses.

  • Publication number: 20240159138
Abstract: There is described a computer-implemented method of controlling a drilling operation. In particular, there is described a computer-implemented method of determining that a differential pressure is in an oscillating state. In response to determining that the differential pressure is in the oscillating state, a weight on bit setpoint is decreased so as to decrease the differential pressure. There is also described a computer-implemented method of determining a difference between a differential pressure and a target differential pressure. The target differential pressure is less than a differential pressure limit. A weight on bit setpoint is adjusted as a function of the difference between the differential pressure and the target differential pressure so as to adjust the differential pressure and thereby reduce the difference between the differential pressure and the target differential pressure.
