  • Patent number: 5564674
Abstract: The valve comprises a first pressure chamber (2), an outlet chamber (6) and a valve body (8), cooperating with a first valve seat (12), and also a second pressure chamber (13) delimited by the valve body. The valve body (8) comprises a control piston (22) which cooperates with a second valve seat (26) and is movable between a closing position and an open position. The control piston delimits in a valve chamber (17) a first sub-chamber, which faces away from the second valve seat (26) and communicates with the first pressure chamber (2), a second sub-chamber, which faces the second valve seat (26) and communicates with the outlet chamber (6), and a middle sub-chamber, which surrounds the cylindrical surface of the control piston and communicates with the second pressure chamber (13). The control piston (22) establishes in the closing position transfer communication between the first and the middle sub-chamber, and in the open position transfer communication between the second and the middle sub-chamber.

  • Patent number: 4986512
Abstract: A moving valve lid cooperating with a valve seat is provided in a valve body. The lid is connected by way of a spindle to a servopiston moving in a cylinder. The valve seat merges, on the side remote from the side, into a compensating cylinder in which a compensating piston connected coaxially to the lid is guided. Those end faces of the lid and compensating piston which are near one another are of substantially the same size as one another. A hollow flow deflector is disposed in the valve body upstream of the valve seat and the lid has an extension medium inflow side which is of substantially the same diameter as the lid which extends into the flow deflector.

  • Patent number: 4977925
Abstract: The safety valve has a main lid and a servopiston movable in a servopiston chamber. A pilot valve has a lid loaded by a predetermined force in its closing direction and opens in response to a pressure corresponding to such force. Associated with the pilot valve is a piston whose two end faces extend one each into a piston chamber. One piston chamber is directly connected to the chamber to be protected by the safety valve against excess pressure whereas the other chamber is connected to the inflow side of the pilot valve and by way of a restriction to the protected chamber. A duct communicates the chamber of the pilot valve with the servopiston side remote from the main lid that when the pilot lid opens the main lid is opened by the loading of the servopiston.

  • Patent number: 4913400
Abstract: The double disk gate has a moving gate which includes two closure disks which define a space into which pressurized medium can be delivered. The closure disks are mounted to be moveable within the gate valve when the gate is in a closed position so as to be brought into sealing contact with the seating surfaces of the inlet and outlet ports of the valve. The pressure medium may be obtained from the medium passing through the valve.

  • Patent number: 4697619
Abstract: The solenoid valve actuates a pilot valve body which cooperates with a stationary seat surface. The pilot valve body actuates a main valve body of an on-off valve having a piston with a calibrated leakage. The cylindrical chamber on one side of the piston communicates with the inflow side of the on-off valve when the solenoid valve is opened via the pilot valve body, and the cylinder chamber on the other side of the piston communicates directly with a discharge. That side of the piston which is near the main valve body is isolated from the flow path of the on-off valve. The possibility of leakage is reduced considerably for a very reduced constructional outlay, electricity consumption is low and the loss of valve-time cross-section associated with an opening instruction is reduced.

  • Patent number: 4603710
Abstract: The non-return valve comprises a housing provided with an inlet connection, a coaxial installation opening, and an outlet connection. An insert is secured in the installation opening to define a chamber with a cover on the valve. A movable valve body means includes a piston which divides the insert chamber into two cylindrical chambers while connecting ducts lead from the respective cylinder chambers to the housing chamber on the outlet side. A damping member is provided on the movable valve body system in the form of an annular ring to penetrate into the duct leading from the lower cylinder chamber when the valve closes to bring about a throttling action. Shock-like closure of the valve is thus eliminated in a simple and operationally reliably manner.

  • Patent number: 4412671
Abstract: The plate valve has a housing forming an inlet spigot and an outlet spigot. A movable valve member provided with a closure plate and an orifice plate is movable radially of the spigots via servo-pistons which are rigidly connected to the valve member. The pistons are guided in cylinders disposed diametrically opposite one another on the spigots. The cylinders may be integrally formed with the plate valve housing or may be separably formed as cylinder heads.

  • Patent number: 4278619
Abstract: The steam throttle valve has a number of water injection ducts distributed around the valve axis within a thin-walled hollow member which extends around the valve axis. A thin-walled water supply duct in a bore in the valve casing cover supplies water to the hollow member. The member is annular and is retained between two assembled parts of the valve, namely the cover and a valve cage. Constructing the ducts in this way obviates thermal stress cracking near them.
