  • Patent number: 11674655
Abstract: A forward projecting condensing and collimating optical platform enables the ability to more effectively utilize the light generated from a Lambertian light source. The optical system can effectively utilize light emitted from a 120-degree source viewing angle over a substantially large extended field of view. The optical system can project a high intensity light in a smaller packaging envelope. The optical design can be used for generation of hi-Intensity spot beams, fog lamps, head lamp low beams, head lamps, hi beams, a driving beam, and the like, while operating at a lower power input to equivalent optical systems.

  • Patent number: 11590882
Abstract: A terrain viewing apparatus is provided to enable greater viewability of environmental conditions around a vehicle. A housing of the terrain viewing apparatus may include a lighting apparatus for emitting light and illuminating environmental conditions during nighttime, dusk, or adverse weather conditions. The housing may further include a reflecting apparatus to increase an operator's ability to view environmental conditions outside the vehicle. One or more joints may enable the housing to be adjustable with respect to the vehicle. An internal joint may enable the reflecting apparatus to be adjustable with respect to the housing. The lighting apparatus may receive power from the vehicle. The lighting and reflecting apparatuses may be electrically coupled to the vehicle and may be controllable therefrom.

  • Patent number: 11473753
Abstract: A lighting module is shown and described having a housing with an opening therethrough. A forward portion of the opening may be enclosed by a cap and a rearward portion of the opening may be enclosed by a transparent media. A second media may extend from the opening through a wall of the housing. The cap may be securable to a bar via a mounting apparatus. A PCBA with one or more operational groups of LEDs may be secured within the opening, such that light may be emitted through the media. A second PCBA with one or more operational groups of LEDs may be secured within the opening, such that light may be emitted through the second media. Each operational group may be integrated with a control system of a vehicle, and may be operated individually or collectively. Each operational group may correspond to similar or different colors of light.

  • Patent number: 10337695
Abstract: A lighting component may include a light emitting diode (LED) positioned on a printed circuit board assembly (PCBA), and a reflector positioned on the PCBA over the LED. The LED may be configured to emit an effective span of light which may pass through the reflector from a rearward opening to a forward opening of the reflector. The reflector may include a first region with one or more surfaces configured to subtend a first portion of the effective span of light. The reflector may include a second region with one or more first surfaces configured to subtend a second portion of the effective span and one or more second surfaces configured to subtend exterior light entering the forward opening back through the forward opening. The reflector may include a third region with one or more surfaces configured to subtend exterior light entering the forward opening back through the forward opening.

  • Patent number: 10317043
Abstract: A light fixture is provided that includes lighting components having one or more surfaces that subtend light emitted by one or more light sources into one or more corresponding subtended spans. Additional light sources are provided within the light fixture to exhibit back lighting effects that may be seen at various locations external to the light fixture and that may highlight other features of the light fixture intended as aesthetic features. Both the forward projected ray sets and the aesthetic lighting may be controlled independently of each other.
