  • Patent number: 4358843
Abstract: A spindle construction for centering a disk hub in which the spindle includes a circumferential slot extending in the direction of the rotation axis of the shaft. The slot defines one or more fingers which compress inwardly when a hub is placed over the spindle. The outer peripheral shape of the finger generally matches the contour of the inside diameter of the disk.

  • Patent number: 4335816
Abstract: A latch assembly wherein an elongated latch housing can be selectively locked opposite arms of a C-shaped handle. A slider button movable on the housing exterior, along the length of the housing, by racks and a pinion gear to two dogs also movable along the length of the housing, but interiorly to the housing. By pushing the slider on the housing, the dogs are forced outwardly relative to the housing, so that the housing is locked to the handle.

  • Patent number: 4197359
Abstract: A hub for a disk storage medium which is a unitary article of two dissimilar metals having a single plated coating. An example is an aluminum support member and a joined steel armature plate wherein the two metals have been joined, cleaned and plated on exposed surfaces, but without plating on joining surfaces.

  • Patent number: 4166622
Abstract: A collar construction for a disk hub in which the interior of the collar is adapted with a plurality of cylinders truncated in a shape mating with portions of a spindle to which the hub is fit. The cylinders have longitudinal slots extending partially therethrough allowing compression of the cylinders when in contact with a spindle. The collar is used for centering a disk on a spindle.

  • Patent number: 4090609
Abstract: An improved handle assembly for selectively carrying or releasing the contents of a disk cartridge or the like. The handle is a U-shaped member with a housing pivotally mounted between the open ends of the U-shaped member and which may rotate therebetween. The housing contains movable dogs for latching the housing to the arms of the U-shaped handle so that an assembly which is connected to the housing will move when the handle is released if the housing is latched to the arms by movement of the dogs.
