  • Patent number: 5249533
Abstract: A sewing machine table is presented having a first top section which is rigidly mounted to the table frame and a second section which abuts the first section in horizontal alignment when raised and which is rotatably affixed to the frame for movement away from said first top section. The sewing machine table can be used to sew flat goods with the first and second top sections in contiguous horizontal alignment. A pivotable mechanism allows the second top section to pivot away and downwardly from the first table top section for sewing more dimensioned goods such as baseball caps and the like.

  • Patent number: 5228401
Abstract: Sewing apparatus utilizes a conventional multi-head sewing machine for embroidering or stitching and includes a single rail pantograph with a double ended electric motor and ribbed drive end and support arm. A multi-purpose holding bracket allows the operator to quickly change from embroidering tubular goods such as sweatshirts to baseball caps or other circular type goods without tools by the use of an easily releasable hoop support boom. An embroidery hoop assembly provides ears which can be easily and securely positioned on the hoop support boom for secure holding thereto during high speed embroidering operations. The ribs on the drive end of the pantograph prevent warping of the end during the high speed operations.

  • Patent number: 4993333
Abstract: Framing hoop apparatus for use in sewing and embroidering includes a pair of engagable hoops. The inner hoop includes opposingly, outwardly extending flanges having ramp portions and ports for engaging spring-loaded plunger spheres of a hoop receiver. The hoop receiver includes a divider which is "T-shaped" and forms two compartments. The spring-loaded plunger spheres of the receiver are adjustably urged downwardly whereby the spheres will engage the receiving ports of inserted framing hoops to releasably hold them within the receiver during sewing.

  • Patent number: 4932341
Abstract: Sewing apparatus is provided having a plurality of connected sewing stations, each of which includes a sweing head with needles for stitching, and a cylinder arm which is raised from the sewing table. The raised posture of the cylinder arm makes for an efficient operation in stitching or sewing large garments such as sweat shirts, jackets or the like within framing hoops since the excess material of the garment can be maintained beneath the cylinder arm and out of the way. The sewing table may extend laterally for use by two (2) or more such sewing stations and a device is provided to drive the framing hoops simultaneously and to control the sewing machines to duplicate the sewing operations from station to station. The framing hoops are configured to easily mount in receivers at the sewing stations.

  • Patent number: 4869183
Abstract: A device and method for positioning an outer embroidery hoop on a framing table includes a hoop attachment having a hoop receiver which is adjustably mounted on a framing table. The hoop receiver can be released and slid along the upper table top surface and rotated as desired for infinite positioning. A side hoop attachment is also provided for jacket hoops and the framing table top can be removed and replaced with smaller or larger table tops as needed.

  • Patent number: 4837913
Abstract: An embroidery frame press plunger head and method is presented which includes a pretension member which allows greater efficiency and uniformity in framing cloth for embroidering or for other purposes. The pretension member is affixed to and extends below the hoop retainer to initiate contact with the cloth or other material to hold it tightly against a work table prior to the sandwiching action of the first and second embroidery hoops. The pretension member consists of an annular shape or other configuration which will hold the cloth securely against the work table.

  • Patent number: 4644629
Abstract: An embroidery frame press is provided having a plunger which is operated by a foot pedal for forming frames of cloth or other material for embroidering, stitching or other work. An inner frame is spring mounted on the plunger head which is directed to a base frame support having a base frame positioned therein for which a textile article is placed for embroidering or other work. The plunger forces the inner frame and cloth or other material into the outer frame after which the plunger is withdrawn and a frame of cloth or other material is thereby provided for embroidering or other work.
