  • Publication number: 20190286126
Abstract: A method and system for autonomously navigating a vehicle toward a passenger route endpoint using a telematics unit installed in the vehicle. The method carried out by the system includes the steps of determining that the vehicle is approaching the passenger route endpoint and remotely navigating the vehicle by identifying a passenger endpoint location near the passenger route endpoint using at least a remote facility separate from the vehicle. The passenger endpoint location may be determined from at least a current or real-time status of a passenger endpoint condition at the passenger route endpoint.

  • Publication number: 20190106021
Abstract: Embodiments include methods, systems and computer readable storage medium for dynamically configuring a passenger section for a passenger transport. The method includes receiving, by a processor, a trip request. The method further includes reconfiguring, by the processor, at least a portion of a passenger section of a passenger transport based at least in part on the received trip request. The method further includes collecting, by the passenger transport, one or more passengers associated with the trip request for transport to a destination.

  • Publication number: 20190076558
Abstract: A number of variations may include placement of germicidal ultraviolet-C (UV-C) light treatments within vehicle interiors/exteriors to minimize material surface microbial growth and contamination, and sanitizes vehicle surfaces. A number of variations may include vehicles including UV-C light devices mounted in or on the vehicle to treat interiors/exteriors of the vehicle to minimize material surface microbial growth and contamination, and sanitize vehicle surfaces.

  • Publication number: 20170213273
Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for generating available transportation modes based on location data of a user. Methods and systems retrieve metrics relating at least to time, cost and risk of each available transportation mode. Methods and systems analyze the available transportation modes and the associated metrics based on criteria related to time, cost, and risk factors. Methods and systems determine a transportation recommendation based on the analyzing. Methods and systems output the transportation recommendation to a user electronic device.

  • Publication number: 20170098231
Abstract: A system, for providing subsidized vehicle-ownership rights based on driver participation in a driver-participation incentive program. The system includes a processing hardware unit, or processor, and a system-driver agreement module configured to, via the processor, establish an agreement by which the driver participant agrees to perform a vehicle-driving-related task in exchange for a subsidy toward obtaining the vehicle-ownership rights. The system also includes an account-maintenance module establishing a driver-participation account in connection with the driver participant. The system also includes a system-driver interface module resenting, by way of a tangible vehicle interface, a task for the driver to perform, and determining that the driver participant performed the task.
