  • Publication number: 20100126519
Abstract: A cigar ash remover installed in an ashtray, which enables a user to conveniently dislodge burnt ashes from the tips of cigars, so that the cigar can be easily relit.

  • Patent number: 6983827
Abstract: A braking system for a cargo portage device, such as a wheelbarrow, that is biased in the “On” state to prevent the device from coasting away on its own when it is resting on an incline unattended by a user. This braking system enhances the safety of a device used by those who may be prone to forget to lock its brakes when it is left resting on an incline unattended or in situations in which children may have access to the device and use it as a wheeled toy. This braking system also enables the user of a wheelbarrow employing it to traverse obstacles, such as steps, logs, curbs, etc., within the wheelbarrow's path of travel and haul greater loads than can be realized using a conventional wheelbarrow.

  • Publication number: 20030145472
Abstract: An improved electrically powered reciprocating saw that is capable of cutting a workpiece flush with a surface positioned along a raised intersecting perpendicular plane. It also features a new blade actuator that enables the saw blade to be installed on either the left or the right side of the saw. Its new blade and shank assembly has an offset shank that allows the blade to be installed on either the left or the right side of the saw, thus enabling the saw to make cuts beyond the plane of either the left side or the right side of the saw.

  • Publication number: 20030121161
Abstract: An improved electrically powered lightweight jigsaw attached to an extension handle that allows a user to perform cutting tasks at a distance far beyond the user's normal reach. It features a double-edged blade that allows a user to cut a workpiece by either pushing the saw into it, or pulling the saw into or across it without having to remove the blade to change the orientation of its teeth. The saw is capable of cutting a workpiece nearly flush with a raised surface, such as a wall or tree trunk, lying in an intersecting perpendicular plane. It can be manufactured by making minimal modifications to a typical conventional hand-held jigsaw, and could be sold through a manufacturer's established distribution channels, using its existing personnel, with minimal training.

  • Publication number: 20030015852
Abstract: An improved wheelbarrow with a design and method of use that departs significantly from that of conventional wheelbarrows. It has a wheel-fitted undercarriage assembly in place of the rear struts normally associated with conventional wheelbrrows. The use of the wheel-fitted undercarriage enables a user of this wheelbarrow to traverse obstacles in the path of the wheelbarrow's travel more easily by pushing down on the handles of the wheelbarrow and pushing forward on it using the rear wheels. This wheelbarrow also has a parking brake to prevent it from coasting unsafely on its own, and a pulling ring that allows one person or vehicle to pull the wheelbarrow while another person pushes and guides it.
