  • Patent number: 5136477
Abstract: A miniature self-powered portable illuminating device including a thin-wall molded rectangular housing and removable bottom cover defining a battery compartment. The top surface of the housing includes a momentary on/off switch and an elongated flexible conduit mounted thereon. the conduit is economically formed using only protective coated dual-conductor stranded flexible wire tightly covered with a thin-wall plastic tube over its entire exposed length. By this arrangement, the molded reflector and sub-miniature high-intensity light bulb mounted therein may be easily manipulated into any desired shape. The housing is releasably attachable onto a working surface adjacent to or part of an object to be illuminated.

  • Patent number: 4755838
Abstract: Apparatus for converting a camera for close-up photography, includes a flash hood attachment for the flash unit of the camera for reflectively spreading a beam of light from the flash unit to distribute the light over the field of view for very close subjects. Other attachments provide for reducing the light received by an auto-exposure system of a camera, for blocking a portion of a viewfinder window to correct for parallax problems, and for covering the lens of the camera with a pin hole to convert the camera to a fixed focus camera, all for converting a conventional camera for close-up photography.

  • Patent number: 4575236
Abstract: A latent contact photographic copy of an original image is formed by apparatus comprising a translucent platen for supporting on one side thereof an assembly including an original image to be copied and an unexposed photographic film overlying the original image. Parallel connected lamps mounted on the opposite side of the platen are provided for irradiating the photographic film through the platen and original image. A cover is movable between an open position in which it uncovers the platen for receiving the assembly and a closed position in which it covers the platen and assembly. A circuit connected to the lamps includes a switch for selectively enabling the circuit to activate the lamps. The switch is mounted for contact with the cover when the cover is in the closed position. The switch is thus closed to effect exposure of the photographic film in response to pressure exerted on the cover when the cover is in the closed position.
