The body includes at least a portion adapted for viewing the medical device when positioned in the body. A cover is provided for selectively covering the portion of the body adapted for viewing the medical device. A kit and related methods are also disclosed.

Abstract: An apparatus for performing a medical procedure and, in particular, an aortic valvuloplasty, in a vessel for transmitting a flow of fluid includes a first inflatable balloon, such a perfusion balloon with a plurality of cells in a single cross-section of the balloon for permitting the fluid flow in the vessel. An inflatable valve, which may take the form of a second inflatable balloon, may be provided for controlling the fluid, flow through the first balloon when inflated. Through selective movement of the second balloon when inflated via the flow rhythms created by the beating heart, a one way valve results that can be used to mimic the natural flow created by the valve under treatment.

In one embodiment, the lamination apparatus includes a pressurized medical balloon (12) comprising a plurality of layers in need of lamination. The balloon is positioned in an evacuated, flexible receiver (14) in which the pressurized medical balloon is positioned, and heat may be applied to the balloon to cause consolidation of one or more of the layers and result in lamination A fixture is also provided for simultaneously laminating a plurality of balloons.
