  • Publication number: 20230072588
Abstract: The present disclosure provides methods for producing a regenerated hydrogenation catalyst from a fouled hydrogenation catalyst having a total surface area and at least one associated impurity. The method can include maintaining contact between the fouled hydrogenation catalyst and a flushing medium that comprises water, oxygen, and an inert or diluent gas at a regeneration temperature and a regeneration pressure sufficient to remove at least a portion of the at least one impurity from the hydrogenation catalyst to produce the regenerated hydrogenation catalyst, where the regenerated hydrogenation catalyst is characterized as retaining at least 70% of the activity of the hydrogenation catalyst.

  • Publication number: 20070293390
Abstract: Process for the preparation of a catalyst comprising the steps of: (a) combining solid acid particles with a binder to form a catalyst precursor; (b) calcining the catalyst precursor at a temperature in the range of about 400 to about 575° C.; (c) impregnating the calcined catalyst precursor with a solution of a Group VIII noble metal and Nh4+ ions, and (d) calcining the impregnated particles at a catalyst temperature in the range of about 400 to about 575° C. The use of two calcination steps in the above temperature ranges results in alkylation catalysts with improved performance.

  • Publication number: 20070189937
Abstract: A continuous process for the hydrothermal conversion of a solid starting iron compound selected from the group of iron oxides, iron hydroxides, iron oxyhydroxides, and mixtures thereof into a solid product iron compound with different physical, chemical, and/or structural properties. The process comprises the steps of a) dispersing the solid starting iron compound in a liquid thus forming a suspension, and b) feeding the suspension continuously though one or more agitated conversion vessel(s), in which vessel(s) the solid starting iron compound is converted into the solid product iron compound under hydrothermal conditions.
