  • Patent number: 10621601
Abstract: A computer system for identifying utility cost savings is provided. The computer system includes a memory and at least one processor coupled to the memory. The at least one processor is configured to receive usage information gathered from at least one site via a first interface, administer a utility questionnaire via a second interface, and determine recommendation information describing a plurality of cost savings recommendations for the at least one site based on a set of responses to the questionnaire and the usage information.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 26, 2012
Date of Patent: April 14, 2020
    Assignee: SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC USA, INC.
    Inventors: Laurent Coene, Edgard Franco

  • Patent number: 6088906
Abstract: A method of making a squirrel cage rotor of copper material for use in AC or DC motors, includes forming a core with longitudinal slots, inserting bars of conductive material in the slots, with ends extending out of opposite ends of the core, and joining the end rings to the bars, wherein the conductive material of either the end rings or the bars is copper. Various methods of joining the end rings to the bars are disclosed including friction welding, current pulse welding and brazing, transient liquid phase joining and casting. Pressure is also applied to the end rings to improve contact and reduce areas of small or uneven contact between the bar ends and the end rings. Rotors made with such methods are also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 4675966
Abstract: A method for manufacturing the guide base of a valve and assembly of that valve is disclosed. The guide base is made from flat plate. Two similar workpieces are stamped out of plate. Each workpiece comprises two leg members joined by a central portion. The workpieces are engaged at their central portions and inserted into an upper valve body having at least one insert slot. The final assembly is permanently joined together.

  • Patent number: 4547653
Abstract: A seam tracker in which a shaft containing a position-indicator-member, e.g., a ferromagnetic portion, is attached to a probe, and is mounted on a ball joint and the ball joint is mounted on a pin the ends of which extend through slots in a housing. Spring means urge the pin ends against one end of the respective slots. A mechanical-null-position spring urges the shaft to a mechanical null position off of the longitudinal axis of the housing and thus away from the mechanical null position. Means responsive to changes in position of the shaft from the electrical null position give an output to drive a control apparatus to correspond to changes in position of the probe as it tracks the seam, represented by changes in position of the shaft.
