  • Publication number: 20220002956
Abstract: A portable barricade includes at least three legs that are operably coupled together to permit movement relative to each other between a collapsed state and an expanded state. The barricade is configured such that when in the collapsed state, the at least three legs are arranged with at least one of the legs stacked between at least two other legs to form a compact stack that facilitates portability of the barricade. The at least three legs are operably coupled together for rotation about a common axis. When the barricade is deployed to the expanded state, each leg is rotated about the common axis to spread the legs apart such that each leg is arranged at a different angular position about the axis relative to the other legs, thereby enlarging the footprint and/or enhancing stability of the barricade.

  • Patent number: 8815603
Abstract: A chemochromic indicator is provided that includes a hypergolic fuel sensing chemochromic pigment that change from a first color to a second color in the presence of a hypergolic fuel. In a first embodiment, a chemochromic indicator is provided for detecting the presence of a hypergolic fuel such that the irreversible hypergolic fuel sensing chemochromic pigment includes potassium tetrachloroaurate (KAuCl4). There are several types of chemochromic indicators, for example, the article used to form the chemochromic indicators include, but are not limited to, wipe materials, silicone/TEFLON tape, manufactured parts, fabrics, extruded parts, and paints.

  • Patent number: 4337183
Abstract: The present invention relates to an aqueous printing ink composition and method for improving printing using such aqueous based printing inks. The composition is comprised of a physical mixture of polyurethane resin, polyethylene resin and water as the vehicle. The invention provides a family of water-based inks with enhanced physical and mechanical properties. The inks have superior abrasion resistance and good adhesion to various substrates including metal and plastics.

  • Patent number: 4281040
Abstract: A protective coating composition is applied to the decorated and/or printed surface of a foamed plastic substrate to provide abrasion resistance, high gloss, and lubricity. Preferably, the composition is comprised of a water-based mixture of polyurethane resin and emulsified polyethylene resin, the latter being emulsified with an ionic or non-ionic emulsifier. The composition is especially useful for application over the exterior of foamed plastic surfaces which have been decorated and/or printed with printing inks prior to fabrication of the material into plastic articles.

  • Patent number: 4272587
Abstract: Glass surfaces are provided with abrasion-resistant and label receptive characteristics by forming a first layer of an oxide of tin or titanium thereon and then overcoating the first layer with a physical mixture of emulsified organic polymers including acrylic resin emulsion and polyethylene resin emulsion. The resins are present in the mixture in a solids ratio ranging from about 7:1 to 1:1.
