    Abstract: Articles are washed in a receptacle by liquid solvent displaced by pressurized air from a pressure sealed container submerged with in a reservoir of said liquid solvent. A foot operated valve controls the supply of compressed air to the container. Release of the valve vents the container to effect refill with a metered quantity of solvent by opening of a pressure responsive gate valve.
