  • Patent number: 5806713
Abstract: A device for dispensing and applying stamps, labels, stickers, and other self-adhesive products mounted on a backing web. Sliding the device across a contacting surface rotates the single moving part, a drive roller. The drive roller pulls the backing web around a delaminating bend. This separates the self-adhesive product from the web and applies it to the contacting surface. Some embodiments of the invention discharged the used webbing. The other embodiments automatically collect and store the webbing within their housings.

  • Patent number: 4760909
Abstract: A suction wheel is mounted laterally adjacent a horizontal conveyor and at an elevation slightly thereabove. The suction wheel is movable laterally between that position and an inward position partially overlapping the conveyor. A plurality of peripheral ports are provided in the suction wheel which is mounted for rotation about a vertical axis at a peripheral speed correspond to the speed of the conveyor. A manifold rests upon the suction wheel, but is held stationary against rotation. The manifold has at least three ports disposed in the path of movement of the suction wheel ports. A vacuum source is operatively coupled to at least two ports in the manifold, and a pressurized fluid source is operatively coupled to at least one of the ports in the manifold. The suction wheel operates intermittently. Only when an article is to be removed from the conveyor, does the suction wheel move inwardly to remove the reject articles.

  • Patent number: 4557480
Abstract: A portable resistive-type exercise device adapted for both arm and leg exercises. The device includes a housing containing a reel and a length of cord. Within the housing are adjustable friction blocks for applying tension to the cord whereby resistance is exerted against a force withdrawing the cord from the housing. A handle or strap is provided to transmit the force to both the arms and legs. A bracket is supplied which allow for permanent wall mounting or temporary mounting about a door frame.
