  • Patent number: 11744617
Abstract: A spinal stabilization device that can be used to non-invasively correct spacing and curvature between at least two vertebral structures. The spinal stabilization device includes two telescoping tubes wherein ends of the two tubes can have pedicle screws that can be fastened to two or more vertebral bones. The overall length of the spinal stabilization device can be adjusted by moving the inner tube within the outer tube. Both the outer tube and the inner tube have multiple holes for receiving fasteners, wherein a fastener can be inserted through a hole in the outer tube into a hole in the inner tube for interlocking the inner tube and outer tube. The extension of the fastener into the holes and retraction from the holes can be controlled non-invasively from an external source.

  • Publication number: 20220183879
Abstract: A device and method for managing obstructive sleep apnea in patients. The device includes a first implantable member and a second implantable member, both configured to generate a magnetic field. The first implantable member is implanted in a base of a tongue and the second implantable member is implanted in a soft palate such that like magnetic poles of the first implantable member and the second implantable member face each other resulting in repulsion between the first implantable member and the second implantable member. The repulsive force between the first implantable member and the second implantable member can open the respiratory airway and keep it open.

  • Publication number: 20220125332
Abstract: A wearable capnography device implemented in a form of piercing jewelry that can be worn in a nose or a mouth. The device includes miniaturized sensors to measure pCO2 values continually, wherein the sensor is positioned such as when the device is worn, the sensor is exposed to expired air from the nose or the mouth respectively. The wearable capnography device can be wirelessly coupled to an ear-worn receiver, which upon receiving a signal from the wearable capnography device can generate an audio and vibratory alarm.

  • Publication number: 20220062635
Abstract: A neurostimulator system that can sense, process, analyze and translate the feedback from the patient in order to generate stimulus parameters for waveform synthesis that can provide maximum relief in pain. The neurostimulator system can take as input voluntary and involuntary body movements, voice feedback, pain biomarkers, the sound of vibrations produces by speaking. A machine learning model can analyze and translates the input into optimum parameters which can be used to generate optimized waveforms using a set of waveforms primitives and adjusts accordingly their parameters.

  • Patent number: 11207630
Abstract: Hygiene regulations and social distancing are very effective in blocking short distance infections. During the lockdown, the distance rules can usually be adhered to, but what happens when the actual lockdown is over and the people meet again in a confined space? Then additional effective and efficient protection is essential to stabilize infection rates. Since the viruses are spread by contact and droplet infection, technical devices are required that effectively intervene in the chain of infection and effectively block infection. An effective protection is the respiratory mask as known since 100 years. An alternative to mask is an aerosol protection system for various applications in environment. The protection system consists of adjustable air sucking device and air blowing device in different form factors based on application. The aerosol protection system uses either an air curtain or air shield to prevent the aerosol going from one side of the curtain or shield to the other side.
