  • Publication number: 20080106065
Abstract: An improved trailer assembly capable of carrying a load and having improved stability characteristics is disclosed. Specifically, in a preferred embodiment, the trailer hitch assembly has an interconnecting member pivotally connected to a first member and a second member. The interconnecting member has a longitudinal center line, relative to the first member and second member pivots. The first member is pivotally connected at its one end to the interconnecting member, wherein the first member is capable of pivoting in a horizontal direction relative to the longitudinal center line. The center member is pivotally connected at its one end to the interconnecting member, wherein the second member is capable of pivoting in a vertical direction relative to the longitudinal center line.

  • Patent number: 5617616
Abstract: An ostomy pouch clamp for closing off the bottom end of the pouch having pivoted clamping elements, one element having a trough channel for receiving the other blade element therein. The improvement in this clamp results from (1) single or multiple knife like sealing ribs or lip edges on the blade member bottom for engaging the pouch walls against a flat bottom of the trough channel and (2) latch means located midway between the ends of the clamping elements for pressing the two elements together (as well as releasing them) and producing an audible snapping signal to alert the user that the latch means is in the proper location. The latch means is easy to locate by the user and distributes the force pressing the elements together more equally than prior art devices.

  • Patent number: 4398490
Abstract: A boat hull (10) and its method of construction are dislosed. The hull (10) is formed on an inner layer (12) comprised of a plurality of longitudinally extending planks (16) and an outer layer (14) comprised of a plurality of longitudinally extending planks (18). A groove (24) is formed in the outwardly facing surface of the planks (16). A cord 26 is fitted in the groove 24. An adhesive is applied into the groove (24) in such a manner that the adhesive penetrates the groove (24), passes into the interior of the cord (26) and into the pores or capillary spacing of the wood of the planks (16) in the area surrounding the groove (24). Planks (18) of the second layer (14) are attached to the outwardly facing surface of the first planks (16).

  • Patent number: 4220005
Abstract: A vaporized driving fluid generator and engine unit are associated in open communication with each other with driving fluid being injected, in synchronized relation to the cyclic operation of the engine, into an externally heated casing which contains heat conductive elements that displace a substantial portion of the casing volume to vaporize the driving fluid. A cyclically operable expansible chamber engine is used and where such engine includes a reciprocable piston the piston may carry a tapered metering probe which reciprocates in the open communication between the generator and engine to increase the size of the open communication as the engine piston moves away from the open communication toward exhaust porting in the wall of the cylinder containing the piston.
