  • Publication number: 20170111477
Abstract: A system transfers data for an application. The system determines a per request data size, and sends a data transfer request for transferring a portion of the data from a client to a server according to the per request data size, where the server is configured to host the application. The system then receives a response from the server for the data transfer request, and adjusts the per request data size based on a measure of the data transfer request and the response. The adjusted per request data size is configured to be used for sending other portions of the data from the client to the server.

  • Publication number: 20080092297
Abstract: A pillow formed of a resilient body and having an hourglass shape for placing between a person's legs to provide support while the person is reclining. The pillow can include a massaging unit disposed inside the body for producing vibrations. The pillow in one embodiment has first and second portions pivotally connected along a hinge such that the pillow is convertible between an open configuration and a closed configuration. The pillow can be positioned between the legs when in the closed configuration, or beneath the legs when in the open configuration.

  • Publication number: 20060148289
Abstract: A self-guiding cover assembly for a vacuum electron device (VED) enclosure has a cover, a pair of guide plates, and a pair of guide elements. The cover has a top, a sidewall, an inside and an outside, and at least one electrical connector disposed on the inside of the cover for mating with a VED. The pair of guide plates is disposed on opposite sides of the outside of the sidewall of the cover. The guide plates each have a track. The pair of guide elements is mounted on opposite sides of the outside of the sidewall of the cover. The pair of guide elements each mates with the track. The cover further comprises a breach lock mechanism for seating the VED into the VED enclosure having a base. The breach lock mechanism has guide elements mounted on the VED. A first sleeve is mounted on the base and removably receives the VED. A second sleeve is mounted on the base and removably receives the first sleeve. The second sleeve has tracks for mating with the guide elements.

  • Publication number: 20060086004
Abstract: There is provided a foot support conforming to a user's foot. The foot support includes a supportive member defining a front portion, a rear portion and an arch portion for engagement against the foot plantar arch. The rear portion has a concave periphery formed for partial resting abutment of the person's heel. The supportive member is fabricated from thermoplastic material formed to shape in a custom application. Preferred materials are thermoplastic materials providing easily formable shapes that soften or react at a low temperature between and are capable of being molded and shaped with hand pressure to the bottom of the foot while the foot is in a non-weight bearing position. Subsequently the thermoplastic material hardens retaining the molded shape. In a second embodiment, a footbed assembly having a cushioning top layer overlaying the upper surface of the molded supportive member is provided. The invention also contemplates a method for custom forming the supportive member.

  • Publication number: 20050114998
Abstract: An inflatable bedrest which is composed of a bladder which when inflated defines three longitudinally extending side walls disposed in a triangular configuration. To support the bladder in the desired triangular configuration, there is provided an interior baffle mounted within the bladder which in one embodiment comprises a pair of longitudinally extending panels disposed in a V-shaped arrangement and joined to the side walls. In another embodiment, one or more transverse panels form the baffle, either alone or in conjunction with the V-shaped panels. The bedrest may be used to form an assembly which may be assembled to the head end portion of a bed mattress and serves to adjustably lift the head end portion.
