  • Publication number: 20240108513
Abstract: A skin patch that is adherable to human skin over a blemish on the skin has an outer layer that forms a physical barrier over the blemish when applied thereto and a hydrocolloid layer attached to the outer layer that contacts the blemish when applied thereto. A thermochromic material is on the skin patch and/or waterproof packaging encapsulating the skin patch. The thermochromic material indicates the skin patch is at a predetermined temperature.

  • Publication number: 20240016671
Abstract: A skin patch for delivering scent to a human nose includes a flexible base member configured to be adhered between a base of the nose and a vermillion border. The flexible base member defines an outer perimeter having a left edge, a right edge, an upper edge extending from the left edge to the right edge, and a lower edge opposite the upper edge and extending from the left edge to the right edge. The flexible base member includes a first side and a second side opposite the first side, the second side including a skin contact adhesive. A plurality of perforations through the flexible base member extend from the first side to the second side. The perforations are distributed across the flexible base member. A non-perforated section of the flexible base member carries a scented portion.

  • Publication number: 20240016649
Abstract: An external nasal dilator can be adhered across a bridge of a human nose and apply a recoil force to outer walls of nasal passages. The external nasal dilator has a transparent tinted portion that is tinted a first color. Packaging contacting the external nasal dilator is non-transparent and has a second color that contrasts with the first color. The first color is visually perceptible through the transparent tinted portion when the packaging is contacting the external nasal dilator and is visually imperceptible when the external nasal dilator is adhered to the nose.

  • Publication number: 20240016756
Abstract: A method of treating cough includes applying a therapeutic foot patch to a bottom of a foot. The therapeutic foot patch has a flexible backing with a skin contact side that contacts the bottom of the foot. An active ingredient carrier section on the skin contact side carries a cough-reducing active ingredient that imparts a chemesthetic sensation to the foot.

  • Publication number: 20240016650
Abstract: A nasal dilator includes a nose attachment member having an upper section that applies a recoil force to a nasal cavity of a human nose via adhesive attachment thereto. The nose attachment member also has a lower section including an arm that extends downwardly from the upper section to a nostril opening when the upper section is adhered to the wearer's nose. The arm has a scented portion.

  • Publication number: 20230398269
Abstract: A breast guard for use with a breast pump suction flange having an interior surface for placement against a wearer's breast and a liquid extraction port that extracts liquid from the wearer's breast includes a first liquid barrier in contact with the interior surface, a second liquid barrier in contact with the wearer's breast, and a third liquid barrier extending from the first liquid barrier to the second liquid barrier. The first liquid barrier, second liquid barrier, and third liquid barrier collectively form a liquid retention space that retains breast liquid therein. The breast guard may retain leakage and reduce irritation to the breast while breast pumping.

  • Publication number: 20230293355
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a nursing pad system. The system consists of a base that is designed to be adhesively secured about the nipple of a breast feeding mother. A top cover, which is preferably disposable, is thereafter secured over top of the base component. The adhesive securing the base is preferably a low trauma adhesive. The adhesive securing the top cover is preferably a strong adhesive. The top cover includes an inner surface formed from an absorbent material and that includes a pocket. Milk is both absorbed by the inner surface and collected in the pocket. The top cover is designed to be separable from the base so that it can be replaced as needed.

  • Publication number: 20230256144
Abstract: A leak guard for use with a breast pump suction flange having a liquid extraction port through which liquid from a wearer's breast flows when the breast pump suction flange is worn by a wearer includes a flexible body defining an outer perimeter of the flexible body. The flexible body is configured to contact an exterior of the breast pump suction flange and substantially conform to an exterior contour thereof when worn. A liquid collection region defined by the flexible body within the outer perimeter is positioned beneath a bottom perimeter of the breast pump suction flange when the flexible body is worn to collect liquid leakage from the bottom perimeter.

  • Publication number: 20230240899
Abstract: An infant umbilical cord stump protector includes a pad positionable proximal to the umbilical cord stump and a cover including fluid impermeable material over the pad. The fluid impermeable material has (i) an adhesive region that is adhereable to the infant about the umbilical cord stump, (ii) a deformable region, and (iii) a periphery about the deformable region. The deformable region has greater flexibility than the periphery in such a way that the cover can form a dome-like shape about the umbilical cord stump. The umbilical cord stump protector is used to protect the umbilical cord stump while it dries.

  • Patent number: 10010442
Abstract: An external nasal dilator comprises resilient and engagement elements. The engagement element functions primarily to affix, adhere, or otherwise engage the dilator to the skin surface of the nose. The resilient element comprises one part that provides out-of-plane resiliency, or spring biasing forces, and another part that provides in-plane elasticity, or stretching or tensioning forces. The dilator includes horizontal regions adapted to engage outer wall tissues of first and second nasal passages of a nose. When in use the dilator stabilizes or expands nasal outer wall tissues and prevents the outer wall tissues from drawing inward during breathing.
