    Abstract: A system for managing grease from foodstuff during preparation in a frying pan is disclosed. The system includes a frying pan, a frying pan supporting structure, and an optional but preferred shield. The frying pan includes an underside having an extension integrally formed therewith. The frying pan supporting structure includes a bottom side for placement on a heating element and a top side upon which the frying pan rests. The frying pan extension nests within the top side of the supporting structure. The bottom side and the top side of the supporting structure are angled with respect to each other. The liquid, typically in the form of oil or grease in flowing form, substantially collects under the optional shield which prevents the splattering and splashing of oil and hot grease not only on the user but on nearby surfaces such as the stovetop, the adjacent wall, and the floor.

    Abstract: A tire inflation system includes a hose that connects to a tire via a valve stem. A control valve is in fluid communication with the hose and senses when pressure falls below a predetermined minimum value. When this occurs, the control valve automatically opens to re-supply air to the tire until the predetermined minimum value is achieved. A pressure relieve valve is also in fluid communication with the hose. If, for example, ambient temperatures increase, causing tire pressure to increase, then the pressure relief valve automatically vents excessive pressure to atmosphere. The pressure relief valve is set at a predetermined maximum pressure level that is generally at least 5 psi more than the predetermined minimum value.

    Abstract: A wheel end assembly includes a self-contained air pump mechanism that maintains tire pressure at a desired level. The pump mechanism includes a piston and cylinder assembly that rotate with the tire. A linkage assembly drives the piston within the cylinder as the wheel end assembly rotates to pump air into the tire via a valve. The linkage assembly includes a first link fixed to a non-rotating wheel end component and a second link that rotates relative to the first link and which is coupled to drive the piston within the cylinder. The tire valve is in fluid communication with the cylinder and automatically opens when air pressure in the tire falls below a predetermined level and automatically closes when the air pressure achieves the predetermined level. An atmospheric valve is in fluid communication with the cylinder, and automatically opens to recharge the cylinder once the initial pressure charge has been delivered to the tire.

    Abstract: A trailer support assembly is moved from a retracted position to an extended position to support a front portion of a trailer once the trailer has been uncoupled from a tractor vehicle. The trailer support assembly includes a set of adjustable support legs that is mounted to a trailer structure and a drive transmission that moves the adjustable support legs between the retracted and extended positions. A ratchet mechanism drives the drive transmission when actuated by a crank handle. The ratchet mechanism includes a toothed wheel and a pawl that cooperate with each other to allow the crank handle to be manually rotated by an operator within a predefined area of maximum ergonomic advantage.

    Abstract: An axle end plug employs a magnet which attracts ferrous metallic debris from a cavity in a trailer axle wheel end. The axle end plug includes a vent hole which is substantially aligned with an aperture in the magnet. The vent hole vents the cavity in the trailer axle wheel end to the interior of the axle, rather than to the atmosphere. The arrangement prevents external contaminants such as dirt and water from entering the cavity. The magnet attracts ferrous debris which accumulates in the cavity from component wear or from manufacturing debris which remains in the axle interior. The magnet attracts and removes these particles from the trailer axle wheel end, minimizing the wearing of components.
