  • Patent number: 8310357
Abstract: A signal lamp control system for one rear side of a vehicle receives a signal or voltage from the vehicle (near side signal) originally intended to turn on all signal lamps on that side. Responsive to that signal, the signal lamp control system either turns on all signal lamps on that side or sequentially turns on the signal lamps on that side, depending on a status of a signal or voltage from the vehicle (far side signal) originally intended to control the signal lamps on the opposite rear side of the vehicle. In some embodiments, the signal lamp control system has knowledge of the state of the other side before the near side signal transitions on. This distinguishes between near-side signal activation (alone), brake activation, brake activation with near-side signal activation and hazard warning activation.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 27, 2010
Date of Patent: November 13, 2012

  • Patent number: 6977973
Abstract: A method for decoding Manchester data is provided that includes receiving input data comprising at least two transition types. Each transition of a specified transition type in the input data is detected. For each pair of consecutive transitions of the specified transition type, a length between the consecutive transitions is determined. Output data is generated based on the length.

  • Patent number: 4391373
Abstract: A method of and apparatus for compensating for signal drift in container inspection apparatus using radiant energy emitters and detectors for scanning the containers in combination with a processing circuit associated with the emitters and detectors for synchronizing the scanning signals and processing the signals in subcircuits such that the signals generated during intervals when no container is being scanned are constantly being examined for drift and signals compensated for drift, if any, are used for comparison with container inspection scan signals to determine if a container needs to be rejected.
