Abstract: Magnetic stripe media reader/encoders include reader/encoder body modules made of two complementary body elements that provide a track or path for guiding a magnetic stripe-carrying medium over a magnetic reader head, and magnetic head-carrying devices for magnetic stripe medium reader/encoder magnetic heads including a magnetic head-holding frame linked to a gimbaling frame-and-shaft combination linked, in turn, to a springy mounting mechanism.

Abstract: A wheel mounted physical therapy apparatus capable of being positioned for operation by a patient, then fixed in position, the apparatus including an arm structure having a wide range of adjustment to permit operation by virtually any preselected back and forth movement of the patient's body, arms or legs or portions thereof, the resistance force to such back and forth movement being separately adjustable to provide lesser or greater resistance in either direction.

Abstract: A means for applying traction to a medical patient which includes a pneumatic cylinder and piston and a means for pressurizing the cylinder so as to apply a predetermined traction force. One embodiment further includes a storage cylinder to minimize change in traction force with change in position of the piston and a hand operated pumping cylinder and piston mounted in the storage cylinder. Another embodiment utilizes an extraneous source of pneumatic pressure, pressure regulating valve and a hand operated relief valve to permit cyclic application of traction.
