The sensor is configured to measure a distance between the first vehicle and a second vehicle that is behind the first vehicle. The control module is positioned to determine a separation between the first vehicle and the second vehicle and a speed of the second vehicle based on signals from the speed detector and the sensor to determine a tailgating event. The control module is positioned to command the visual warning module to display a notification to a driver of the second vehicle and to command the imager to capture an image of the tailgating event.
