  • Publication number: 20240101862
Abstract: A fabrication method of an elastomer breath structure includes the steps of applying a liquid elastomer onto a substrate an initial curing of the liquid elastomer on the substrate partially into a partially cured polymer, condensation of water droplets from the environment onto the partially cured polymer, and finishing curing of the partially cured polymer with parallel removal of the water droplets creating surface dimples on the cured elastomer.

  • Patent number: 10595769
Abstract: A device for measuring the elastic deformability of soft tissue has a probe head having the form of a cup with a cavity, side walls and a bottom wall, a first probe channel, a pressure unit and a control unit, the first probe channel being configured to connect the pressure unit, that provides a vacuum inside first probe channel and that is controlled by the control unit with the probe head. The first probe channel has a distal end leading through the bottom wall into the cavity. The device further has a second probe channel having a distal end leading through the bottom wall into the cavity and being connected with a pressure sensor provided to determine the pressure in the cavity and to communicate it to the control unit to determine a point in time, when deformed tissue closes the distal end of the first probe channel based on a pressure difference in the two probe channels.

  • Publication number: 20070151341
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a device and a method for measuring flexural damping in fibres. The device comprises a transducer coupled to the fibre. The transducer measures flexural vibration in the fibre. The device includes a light barrier having a light emitter and a light receiver arranged in line to each other and approximately perpendicular to the fibre. A light beam is emitted by the light emitter and received by the light receiver and is periodically interrupted by the fibre during vibration. A phase delay between an excitation signal and the fibre response is obtained from the electrical signal of the interrupted light beam.

  • Patent number: 6848259
Abstract: A compressed air energy storage system comprises a cavern (1) for stored compressed air and a system for providing the compressed air to a power train (3, 5), this system including a recuperator (7) and a first valve arrangement (8) that controls the flow of the compressed air from the recuperator and to the power train (3, 5). A system for warm-keeping of the power train (3, 5) during stand-by operation of the compressed air energy storage system comprises the recuperator (2) and/or an auxiliary electrical air heater (11) and a second valve arrangement (10, 13) for controlling the airflow for warm-keeping. The system for warm-keeping of the power train allows improved temperature control and avoids disadvantages associated with a warm-keeping system having a combustor.
