  • Patent number: 8387997
Abstract: In a steering arrangement for vehicles, in particular underground transport vehicles, including at least four steerable wheels (2), wherein, during cornering, a respective curve-inner wheel is turned more sharply than the respective curve-outer wheel, at least two wheels (2) located opposite each other in respect to the longitudinal center plane of the vehicle are coupled with each other via angle levers (21) and a tie rod (22) connected to the angle levers (21). Curve-inner or curve-outer wheels consecutively arranged in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle are coupled to common pivotal movement via a gear. The angle levers (21), via a coupling rod (24), are each connected with a steering lever (13) each connected with a steerable wheel (2) via a steering rod (10).

  • Patent number: 6315365
Abstract: In a driving or mining machine including cutter rolls or drums which are mounted for rotation on a cantilever arm pivotable in the vertical direction, bearings and/or gears are arranged in the axial direction of the cutter rolls or drums between parts of the rolls or drums. The bearings and/or gears are connected with the cantilever arm or an actuating means provided in the cantilever arm. At least one stationary cutter bit is arranged on the cantilever arm in the region of the bearings and/or gears between neighboring parts of the rolls or drums in a plane through which the axis of the cantilever arm passes. The cutter bit has at least two cutting edges, a first cutting edge being provided substantially tangential to the enveloping curve of the rotating bits in the direction of the axis of the cantilever arm and a second cutting edge being provided so as to enclose an angle with the first cutting edge.

  • Patent number: 5193295
Abstract: A system for shifting won minerals with a continuous conveyor such as a belt or chain conveyor has a machine frame and a shovel pivotably coupled to booms. The booms are aligned in a vertically pivotable manner with a rocker arm that is pivotably coupled to the front end of the machine frame. The booms and the rocker arm are connected to the front end of the machine frame by hydraulic cylinder units. The loading shovel is swivel-mounted about at least one essentially horizontal axle to dump the debris into a feed chute provided at the front end area of the continuous conveyor. The rocker arm has at least one hydraulic cylinder unit supported at the front end of the machine frame and behind the corresponding rocker arm support to provide a compact design with improved load-bearing capacity and a reduced danger of tipping.

  • Patent number: 4688855
Abstract: A mine drift advancing machine includes a cutting arm pivoted at its rear end to the machine chassis for movement about a horizontal axis and at its front end supporting a carrier which is pivoted to the arm for movement about a vertical axis. At least two horizontally spaced apart rocking levers are pivoted at their rear ends to the carrier for swinging about vertical axes and a lever drive is provided for swinging the levers simultaneously in the same directions. The forward end of each lever carrie at least one cutting tool which is rotatable about a generally vertical axis.

  • Patent number: 4594047
Abstract: Apparatus for removing and conveying a heap of debris includes a continuous conveyor supported by a frame and having a charging end and a discharging end; two cantilever arms having outer free ends and having inner ends pivotally supported on the frame for swinging movement about a horizontal transverse arm pivot axis between lowered and raised positions; a transverse crossbeam extending between the outer free ends of the arms and pivoted thereto for swinging movement about a horizontal beam axis; a loading shovel having an open front for shoveling up debris and a back wall which has an upper edge, the shovel being pivoted to the crossbeam for swinging movement about a horizontal shovel pivot axis which is located near the upper edge of the back wall, the arrangement of shovel, crossbeam and arms being such that in the lowered position of the arms, the shovel pivot axis is above the beam pivot axis and the shovel is swingable to a lowered, loading position in engagement with the beam for shoveling in debris a
