  • Patent number: 5746168
Abstract: A cylinder head cover of an internal combustion engine with a solenoid-controlled injection device using pump-nozzle units designed so that the solenoid valves are supplied with power in a manner that is advantageous from the manufacturing point of view and provides reliable operation. For this purpose, the cylinder head cover covers the entire injection device and contact elements designed as inserts are injected into the cylinder head cover made of plastic in an injection molding process. The contact elements automatically come into a close-fitting contact with contact surfaces mounted on the outside of the solenoid valves when the cylinder head cover is mounted on a cylinder head. The contact elements are combined with contact segments in a central connector mounted on the outside of the cylinder head cover, wherein the power is supplied for the solenoid valves centrally from a controller.

  • Patent number: 4713573
Abstract: To permit direct attachment of a deceleration sensing element to a printed circuit board or the like, a housing (2) made of insulating material retains therein a flexing or bending piezo-ceramic transducer (4) which is electrically connected to terminals (5) passing through the housing, spaced by standard printed circuit board hole spacings from each other; electrical connection between the piezo-ceramic flexing or bending transducer (4) and the terminals (5) is obtained by an electrically conductive adhesive (6) filled into chambers formed in the housing and extending from both sides of the flexing or bending transducer. The housing is preferably encapsulated by a coating of silicone rubber, and can be inserted into a groove (9) in a support side wall (1) by an externally projecting winged spring (10), and secured therein by an adhesive (8).

  • Patent number: 4072378
Abstract: An insulating cover forms two wiring cavities over a heat-sink base plate, between which cavities a conductor pattern plate mounted on the base plate extends. The cover also provides an integral connector shell. The larger part of the base plate is within a first wiring cavity in which circuit components are mounted on the base plate and bonded by wires to the conducting pattern plate. The second wiring cavity encloses contact springs affixed to the connector means and soldered to the pattern plate and this cavity is closed off with a cover plate that snaps into place. The protection so provided for the apparatus is adequate for the conditions in a motor vehicle engine compartment.
