  • Patent number: 4724841
Abstract: An apparatus for central electroanalgesia comprises units for rhythmic action, which are connected in series with units for changing the shape of current pulses and preamplification units electrically coupled to a regulator of the amplitude of current pulses, a means for selecting a mode of action, a means for programmed limitation of the current average value, and a means for amplifying the output signal, which is connected, via a means for measuring the current average value, to electrodes secured on the patient's neck below the mastoid processes and on his forehead. The output signal amplifying means is connected to a compensation current limiting unit couple to a constant component compensating unit joined to a compensation current regulator.

  • Patent number: 4383522
Abstract: Described herein is a method of electroanesthesia, which provides for preliminary preoperative medication of a patient, carrying out induction anesthesia, administering muscle relaxants and intubation followed by forced pulmonary ventilation. Electroanesthesia is performed using D.C. pulses in combination with an additional constant component, the repetition frequency of said pulses being controllable. Used as said pulses are stabilized voltage pulses having the same amplitude and a difference between the repetition frequency within a range of about 100 to about 200 Hz at a constant or variable pulses ratio.

  • Patent number: 4334525
Abstract: A method of affecting the central nervous system by pulse currents, wherein the region of the forehead and the neck under the mastoid processes is affected by a combination of pulse current and an additional d-c component. Current is initially applied to the left hemisphere whereupon the right hemisphere is affected simultaneously and separately at the moment complex resistance of the left hemisphere decreases. The mean current in the region of the right hemisphere is constantly maintained higher than the mean current in the left hemisphere.

  • Patent number: 4185640
Abstract: According to the invention, the device for pulse current action on the central nervous system comprises switch means, each provided with regulators of pulse action parameters, such as the current pulse repetition frequency, the current pulse amplitude and the additional constant component value, the switch means being connected to a rhythmic action unit, a current pulse preamplification unit and a unit for adjusting the value of the additional constant component, and also being electrically coupled to a remote-control electroanalgesia unit or to their regulators so that according to the position of the switch means, the individual current pulse action parameters are controlled by the remote-control electroanalgesia unit and/or respective regulators taken in a prescribed combination.

  • Patent number: 4140133
Abstract: A device for pulse current action on the central nervous system includes a current pulse preamplification unit and a unit for adjusting a value of an additional constant component. The current pulse preamplification unit is coupled via a switch to the current pulse duration adjusting unit of the device to produce the second level of the first stage of general electroanesthesia, or to the intermittent analgesia unit of the device to make it possible to anesthetize growing pain. The unit for adjusting the additional constant component value is connected to the power unit of the device. This permits the reduction of the impedance at the points where the electrodes are attached to the forehead and neck areas.
