  • Patent number: 7073996
Abstract: A two-piece crank hanger set including a left crank arm having a tubular crank spindle attached thereto and a right crank arm having at least one chain sprocket wheel attached thereto. The crank spindle extends through a bicycle crank tube. Bearing cups are removably attached to both ends of the crank tube. Bearing retainers having tapered roller bearings engage the bearing cups. A tubular stop member is held in place on the outer end of the crank spindle by a spline mechanism. A preload and attachment bolt passes through the right crank arm and chain sprocket wheel and into threadable engagement with a threaded inner surface of the outer end of the tubular crank spindle. The preload and attachment bolt is tightened to preload the bearings.

  • Publication number: 20060137866
Abstract: The present invention has its object to provide a heat exchanger with plastic tanks type, wherein a seal member is regularly compressed and hooks or tabs of header core crimped in a uniform fashion. Deformations predominantly located in the large sides or sides adjacent to the tank foot of the header, are formed and distributed in the inner or outer wall. The deformations in the periphery, or more particular, on the outside of the header wall, are formed after the brazing process.

  • Patent number: 6901326
Abstract: Circuit layout to control at least one electrical component of a motor vehicle via a control signal, wherein the circuit layout comprises a digital control unit that provides an output signal during its operation, the circuit layout has a supply terminal, and the digital control unit starts its operation when the supply terminal has an operating voltage above a predetermined threshold value. The digital control unit stops its operation when the supply terminal has an operating value below the threshold value, wherein the circuit layout comprises a circuit block in order to provide for the control signal, during the operation of the digital control unit the circuit block provides for the control signal based on the output signal of the digital control unit, and the circuit block maintains the momentary control signal for a predetermined period of time after the operation of the digital control unit is ended.

  • Publication number: 20040080212
Abstract: A power control arrangement for a controller provides a first voltage level so that the controller operates in a first mode and a second voltage level for operating in a second, sleep mode. In the case where the power supply is provided on a vehicle, the first voltage supply (24) draws power from a vehicle power supply (26). A second voltage supply (30) draws power from a vehicle battery (28). The second voltage supply provides a lower voltage so that the controller (22) operates in a sleep mode and draws minimal current. The inventive arrangement is particularly well suited for powering a controller that provides a real time clock function during a sleep mode.

  • Publication number: 20040032860
Abstract: A technique to change a codec in realtime during transmission of a voice over packet call placed over a packet switched network, such as the Internet, is described. The invention provides users real-time control over the cost and quality of a voice over packet call by monitoring the dynamically changing resources and network conditions on a packet network and allowing users to change codecs of the call transmission before and during the call according to user-defined specifications.

  • Patent number: 5736667
Abstract: A portable firearm employs a frame and an upper mechanism having a bolt and a sliding hammer. A barrel assembly is supported on the frame and has an axis, a muzzle and a breech. The sear transversely straddles the barrel assembly and can project above its axis for restraining the hammer. A trigger mechanism employs a reciprocatable member coupled to the sear for selectively operating the sear automatically or semi-automatically. An intervening member is mounted to reciprocate transversely to the axis of the barrel assembly. This intervening member can retract upon the hammer moving against the intervening member. The intervening member is bifurcated to straddle and reciprocate transversely to the axis of the barrel assembly.
