The global style includes a CSS formatting content portions of the document. The global style is matched to the content portions of the document by a style parser. The global style is then applied as a local style to the content portions that match the global style. The global style is removed from the document to preserve styles of new content portions.

    Abstract: A system for providing inline web previews with dynamic aspect ratios. The system includes an automatic information layout engine to dynamically render a preview of web content located at one or more uniform resource locators contained in a message. The web content previews may be tailored to the display configuration of the device showing the web preview. The system may select an appropriate layout for rendering the web content preview based on one or more properties, such as size, resolution, or aspect ratio, of the display each time the web preview is displayed. Web content previews may be dynamically generated or updated as messages are composed, received, or displayed allowing senders and recipients to see the web content preview in a suitable layout.

    Abstract: A method for installing an updated software application onto the client computer from an original installation set and an update installation set is presented. The method comprises obtaining the original installation set that includes components which, when installed on the client computer, form the original software application. The original software application is installed from the original installation set. The installation uses a product key that includes installation information indicating whether an update installation set is available. A determination is made, according to the installation information in the product key, as to whether an update installation set is available. If it is determined that an update installation set is available, the update installation set is obtained. The update installation set includes components that form the updated software application when installed. The updated software application is then installed onto the client computer from the update installation set.
