  • Patent number: 11965580
Abstract: A dynamic viscoelastic vibration neutralizer for industrial pipes includes a metallic housing, to which the shaft supports are fixed, by screws. The supports of the viscoelastic pieces and the supports of the housing itself, allow the junction of the device with the system to be controlled. An oscillating mass, fixed in the center of a metallic shaft, is supported by the shaft supports. two sets of viscoelastic pieces, are fixed by one of their ends to the supports of the viscoelastic pieces and by the other to the oscillating mass.

  • Publication number: 20240076055
Abstract: A system and method for collecting and analyzing time sequences of signal data produced by a product development effort including but not limited to aircraft signals. A time sequence signal data analyzer receives a signal event specification, searches time sequenced signal data for time slices that meet the signal event specification, analyzes a located time slice that meets the event specification to determine if it satisfies a criterion; and generates a data structure that (a) indicates a portion of the time sequenced signal data that meets the signal event specification and (b) indicates whether or not the portion of the time sequenced signal data that meets the event specification satisfies the analysis criterion or criteria.

  • Publication number: 20240012693
Abstract: Techniques for migrating a workload between two container clusters (i.e., source and destination container clusters) that use different processor architectures are provided. In one set of embodiments, these techniques involve implementing a migration container cluster that (1) creates a backup of the workload from the source container cluster, where the backup includes metadata regarding one or more objects or resources of the workload, and (2) restores the backup on the destination container cluster, where the restoring causes a worker node of the destination container cluster to automatically retrieve, from an image repository, a container image for the workload that is specific to the second processor architecture and deploy the container image as a running container on the worker node.

  • Patent number: 11736248
Abstract: A digital radio OFDM modulator and demodulator provide an efficient mode and a backwards-compatible mode to work with IEEE 802.15.4g or a similar standard. In backwards-compatible mode, they use a single method for error encoding physical header and payload transmit data, and a single method for detecting and correcting errors in physical header and payload receive data. In efficient mode, they use two different methods. The payload is BCH-LDPC encoded. They may also use mapping constellations that are not available in IEEE 802.15.4g, including 64-QAM, 256-QAM, and APSK. To ensure that physical header data can be received more robustly than payload data, they use frequency diversity of the physical header data, and selection maximal ratio combining (SMRC) in the demodulator to reduce the bit error rate (BER) at a low cost.

  • Publication number: 20230219644
Abstract: The present invention aims at developing a robot for applying coating in regions called “difficult access areas” of offshore platforms and ships, such as curved, vertical surfaces, or surfaces with negative inclination angles. The design concept was developed based on a low-weight painting system, integrated into a vehicle with magnetic shoes (104), which produces a constant magnetic force on the metallic surface, capable of guaranteeing the support of the vehicle in the different areas of application. The floating magnetic system aims at ensuring that the wheels (102) have the necessary friction for the vehicle to move.

  • Patent number: 11606477
Abstract: A camera has two or more color elements that are removable and replaceable. The color elements may include a lens, a color filter with a filter data interface, and an image sensor. A security processor includes a private key, firmware, and has storage room for one or more vegetation indices. The security processor securely decrypts, stores, and uses the indices. Firmware checks license terms and installed filters required in a selected index, and analyzes images based on a formula in the index, thresholds for the index value, and thresholds for an object's height above ground level. A positioning receiver (e.g. GPS) determines time and position, which the firmware uses for the license check and for the height AGL calculation. Differences in camera position allow determining a parallax calculation on correlated groups of pixels. The camera provides on-the-fly analysis, and tags and stores images for which alert conditions are met.

  • Patent number: 10865590
Abstract: A method for detecting the approach and/or contact of a user's hand close to a motor vehicle door handle. The handle including: an electrode having a capacitance, and a device for measuring the variation in capacitance, a low-frequency antenna situated close to the electrode, the emissions of the low-frequency antenna bringing about disturbances in the operation of the device for measuring the variation in the capacitance. The method proposes that a new adaptive approach detection threshold be calculated, depending on an average of the previous measured variations in the capacitance, calculated over a predetermined time interval, the measured variations being weighted by a factor depending on a difference between each measured variation and the average of the variations calculated previously over a previous predetermined time interval, the approach detection being confirmed if the measured variation is higher than the new adaptive threshold.

  • Patent number: 10320595
Abstract: A reduced COordinate Rotation DIgital Computer (CORDIC) cell in a parallel CORDIC has an xy-path from x and y inputs to x and y outputs, and a z-path from a z-input to a z-output. Bit-shifts in the xy-path are hardwired. The z-path has a shortened adder/subtractor with a built-in or hardwired fixed parameter. Input bits from the z-input are split into most significant and least significant bits. The number of most significant bits equals the shortened adder/subtractor width. The most significant bits are input to the non-inverting inputs of the adder/subtractor for calculating the most significant z-output bits. The least significant bits are connected directly (or via buffers) from the z-input to the z-output.

  • Patent number: 10105115
Abstract: A method and system are provided for creating and simultaneously displaying medical scan images, from each of first (780) and second (530) medical scan datasets, obtained by scanning a 3-dimensional (3-D) object with different scanning modalities. A first image (410) is derived from the first (780) dataset, the first image (410) lying in a first plane corresponding to an acquisition plane of the first (780) dataset. A second image (420) is obtained from the second dataset (530), the second image also lying in the first plane. The second image may be obtained by re-slicing the second data set. One or both medical scan datasets may be multivolume datasets. The invention may improve viewing resolution and/or speed, when viewing a multi-series MRI scan together with a CT and/or a PET scan.

  • Patent number: 9544114
Abstract: An inverse channel estimation method includes receiving a modulated signal with a pilot. A local reference pilot, matching the received pilot as it was prior to transmission, is divided by a scaled version of the received pilot's power. The division result is scaled again and multiplied with a conjugate value of the received pilot signal, to obtain the inverse channel estimate. Scaling may be performed using bit shifting. The division is performed using a CORDIC algorithm. If multiple pilots are received, interpolation can be performed to provide channel estimates for time and/or frequencies in between. Interpolation can be based on the Farrow method. The received signal may be equalized by multiplying it with the inverse channel estimate.

  • Patent number: 8392474
Abstract: A method is provided for storing a file as slices on storage elements. A computer having memory and at least one computer processor receives a request to store a file. The file is split into slices. A respective header is generated to individually identify each one of the slices. Emails are generated and for each email: an email body includes one of the slices and an email subject line includes the respective header. Each of the emails is stored on storage elements. First metadata is generated for the file, and the first metadata includes information to reconstruct the file from the slices.
