Patent number: 10882997Abstract: A coated article is provided with a low-emissivity (low-E) coating on a glass substrate. The low-E coating includes an infrared (IR) reflecting layer between at least a pair of dielectric layers. The IR reflecting layer may be of silver or the like. The coating is designed so as to provide a highly transparent coated article that is thermally stable upon optional heat treatment and which can be made to have a low emissivity in a consistent manner. The coating is designed to have improved IR reflecting layer quality, and thus reduced tolerances with respect to manufacturability of desired emissivity values. The coated article may be used in monolithic window applications, IG window applications, or the like.Type: GrantFiled: October 15, 2018Date of Patent: January 5, 2021Assignees: GUARDIAN EUROPE S.A.R.L., GUARDIAN INDUSTRIES UK LTD.Inventors: Bernd Disteldorf, Anton Dietrich, Robert Baker, Stuart Silvester, Eduardo Sanz

Patent number: 10749343Abstract: A method which is suitable for a system having a frequency converter and a generator, both of which are connected to a power grid, includes obtaining sub-synchronous components of the grid voltage and determining damping current set points according to the sub-synchronous components to compensate for sub-synchronous resonances of the grid. Damping current set points are determined by receiving the sub-synchronous components of the grid voltage and returning damping current set points as outputs. A variable damping gain is adjusted according to the sub-synchronous frequency of the grid, such that the required compensation level can be adapted to the frequency converter for damping sub-synchronous resonance of the grid.Type: GrantFiled: February 2, 2015Date of Patent: August 18, 2020Assignee: INGETEAM POWER TECHNOLOGY, S.A.Inventors: Beatriz Gil Lizarbe, Carlos Girones Remirez, Eduardo Sanz Ceballos

Patent number: 6832641Abstract: An aircraft window having a generally rectangular frame with an inner lens. A first shade is movable with respect to the frame and capable of covering a portion of the inner lens. A second shade is also movable with respect to the frame and also capable of covering a portion of the inner lens. An intermediate lens or separation member lies between the first and second shades. Movement of the shades allows for independent and variable control over the light transmitted through the window.Type: GrantFiled: October 2, 2002Date of Patent: December 21, 2004Inventors: Eduardo Sanz, Gilbert Moreno, Joe Martin

Patent number: 6758255Abstract: A vehicle window having a curved inner lens, a rectangular frame with frame members and a shade. The shade is a dual shade having a first fabric member and a second fabric member with a removable shade rail between the first and second fabric member. There also is a movable shade rail at the end of the second shade material. Cables attach to each end of the removable shade rails and through to separate handles. Moving the first handle will move the first moveable shade rail and the first fabric member up and down and moving the second handle will move the second moveable shade rail and the second fabric up and down. The fabric members have different light transmissive characteristics, one being more opaque then the other.Type: GrantFiled: October 4, 2002Date of Patent: July 6, 2004Inventors: Eduardo Sanz, Gilbert Moreno

Patent number: 6745810Abstract: Applicant discloses a modular window shade system for an aircraft or other vehicle. The window shade of the window is enclosed with an outer and inner lens and mounted to a frame. A handle is provided and a mechanism is provided where in moving a handle horizontally mounted to the frame will cause the shade to move vertically. The mechanism between the handle and the shade provides a mechanical advantage such that the handle moves a distance greater then the vertical travel of the shade.Type: GrantFiled: December 21, 2001Date of Patent: June 8, 2004Assignee: MSA Aircraft Interior Products, Inc.Inventors: Gilbert Moreno, Eduardo Sanz, Michael Spraggins

Patent number: 6230784Abstract: An electrically driven motor capable of smoothly and efficiently raising and lowering a shade of an aircraft window. The aircraft window includes a spool which can slide axially. A cord is tied to one end of the spool, routed around the frame of the window and back to the second end of the spool. Between the first and second ends of the cord, it is tied into a shade rail. The shade rail is attached to the shade and when the shade rail moves up and down, the shade opens and closes. The spool is energized by the electric motor and, when moving in the first direction, causes one end of the spool to take up cord, thus causing the shade rail to move up and the other window to open and, when the electric motor is reversed, the take-up side of the spool becomes the unwind side and the unwind side becomes the take-up side, with the shade moving towards a closed, or down, position.Type: GrantFiled: September 24, 1998Date of Patent: May 15, 2001Assignee: MSA Aircraft Products Ltd.Inventors: Eduardo Sanz, Donald Martin, Gilbert Moreno
