  • Patent number: 11466533
Abstract: A connection device has a first connection body and a second connection body movable with respect to the first connection body. The connection device is configured for connecting a plurality of control lines terminating in connectors forming part of the first connection body, to corresponding control lines terminating in connectors forming part of the second connection body. The connection device is provided with a first alignment means for rough alignment of the connection bodies. The connection device further has a second alignment means for aligning the rigid holding means of one of the bodies with respect to the connectors of the other one of the bodies, at least one of the rigid holding means movable in a plane perpendicular to a longitudinal axis of the first alignment means.

  • Patent number: 11268332
Abstract: A riser extending from a floating rig includes one or more flow control devices having at least one flow connection and having at least one control connection. A riser manifold is disposed on the riser above the one or more flow control devices and has a first mechanical connector, a first flow coupling, and a first control coupling. A rig manifold can be manipulated by an arm to couple in an automated manner to the riser manifold when running the riser from the rig. The rig manifold has a second mechanical connector that mechanically connects to the first mechanical connector of the riser manifold. Additionally, the rig manifold has a second flow coupling mating with the first flow coupling of the riser manifold for conducting flow, and has a second control coupling mating with the first control coupling of the riser manifold for conducting control.

  • Patent number: 6117203
Abstract: A pathogen reduction system for a sludge treatment process that employees multiple reactors operating in a batch mode to reduce pathogen levels in the sludge while providing a continuous flow of pathogen reduced sludge to a digester. In addition, the present invention entails an efficient heat exchanger for heating and cooling the sludge being treated in the above process. In particular, the heat exchanger is of the counterflow type and includes a helical coil confined in an annular chamber for transmitting one media and wherein the helical coil is spaced so as to form another helical flow channel that is defined by the annular chamber and the helical coil itself. Consequentially, one media is directed through the helical coil while another media is directed through the flow channel that is defined in part by the helical coil.
