Abstract: One embodiment of this invention is an automated information transmittal system including a first database component operative to receive and maintain at least one medical data parameter, a processor programmed to detect the medical data parameter and to compare the medical data parameter to a configured set of instructions, and a primary transmitter component operative to transmit a first signal to a portable electronic device if the medical data parameter satisfies the configured set of instructions, wherein a user of the portable electronic device may review the medical data parameter by accessing a remote application from the portable electronic device.

Abstract: A deterministic flushing of one or more storage data objects buffered within a storage data buffer to a storage medium involves a processing of a host data object including writing a storage data object corresponding to the host data object to the storage data buffer, and a flushing of the storage data object(s) buffered within the storage data buffer to the storage medium prior to or subsequent to (i.e., relative to) the writing of the storage data object corresponding to the host data object to the storage data buffer as a function of an occurrence determination of a storage data buffer flushing event. The deterministic flushing further involves a queuing of a host data buffer meta-data update request for later processing.

Abstract: A storage system comprising a plurality of generally aligned storage units, each of the units including at least two storage sections arranged in side-by-side relation, the units being supported for movement along a predetermined substantially linear path by means of a plurality of generally parallel arranged tracks, with one pair of tracks being associated with each of the storage sections, the tracks being relatively flexible so as to be adapted to be laid directly upon and contiguously conform to a relatively irregular support surface; and a base structure on each of the storage sections and provided with pairs of spaced rollers adapted to ride upon and traverse mating pairs of tracks, the storage sections of each of the units being connected together but acting individually with their mating tracks and independently of the adjacent tracks as the storage units traverse the tracks along the aforesaid path.
