  • Publication number: 20070029333
Abstract: A bowl which includes an upper part, a lower part positioned below the upper part, wherein the upper part and the lower part are made of a first material, a base layer over the lower part of the bowl and made of a second material, a clamp ring positioned around the bowl in a region between the upper part and the lower part and operable to clamp the top region of the base layer to the lower part of the bowl. A lid of the bowl includes a top with a depression formed therein shaped to accommodate the bowl upright or at a tilt.

  • Publication number: 20060211555
Abstract: A rolling pin including a hard core, a jacket of a softer material over the core and defining a rolling surface. In one variation, the jacket may be of such length and so positioned on the core as to define end regions of the jacket extending beyond the ends of the core. The jacket end regions are folded inward over the ends of the core. A cap secures to the core each folded inward end region of the jacket. A handle may be at each end of the core.

  • Publication number: 20060094576
Abstract: A rolling pin including a core, a silicone-containing jacket over the core defining a rolling surface. The jacket may be of such length and so positioned on the core as to define end regions of the jacket extending beyond the ends of the core; the jacket end regions being folded inward over the ends of the core; a cap securing to the core each folded inward end region of the jacket. A handle may be at each end of the core.

  • Patent number: 6873746
Abstract: In one embodiment the present invention provides a device for monitoring a cable, comprising an imaging device having a field of view; a target, distinguishable within the field of view of the imaging device, associated with a cable; and a computer processor connected to the imaging device for analyzing images of the target produced by the imaging device to determine a position of the cable. In another embodiment, the present invention provides a method for monitoring a cable, comprising calibrating a first image of a predetermined field of view showing a portion of a cable to be monitored; capturing a second image of the predetermined field of view; correlating the first image with the second image to determine a position of the portion of the cable within the second image; and reporting said position.

  • Patent number: 4899590
Abstract: An inspection system for non-destructively detecting physical defects in solid shafts by launching and receiving longitudinal acoustic waves has been described incorporating a transducer head containing a transducer head containing a matrix of transducers, pulsers, pulse width modulators, preamplifiers and a summing amplifier. A fiber optic cable may couple the transducer head to a remote location containing a receiver and a oscilloscope. The invention overcomes the problem of launching longitudinal acoustic waves with insufficent energy. Further, the invention overcomes the problem of asymmetric load conversions affecting the output signal arising at times when only one transducer is used and is positioned off center with respect to the solid shaft.
