    Abstract: This disclosure describes apparatus and methods for hosted services over an asynchronous transfer mode (ATM) connection, such as an ATM network. The hosted services include hosted communication services and hosted application services. A hosted communication service connects a customer, such as a business, to a hosting server that provides communication services to the customer, such as telephone services as well as e-mail, voice mail, and fax capabilities. A hosted application service connects a customer, such as a business, to a hosting server that provides application software to the customer, such as enterprise software as well as any other type of application software. An ATM connection is used to connect the customer to the hosting server.
