Abstract: An apparatus and method for manufacturing an elastic composite structure for an absorbent sanitary product includes a bonding unit configured to bond a first web layer to a second web layer via a bond pattern that includes at least one bond line having at least one pair of adjacent bonds. The bonding unit secures an elastic thread within a passage defined by the at least one pair of adjacent bonds. The passage has a cross-sectional area smaller than a cross-sectional area of the elastic thread in a non-tensioned state.

Abstract: This disclosure provides methods, systems, and storage media for automatically generating curricula. The method is performed by one or more machine learning models and one or more algorithms. The method comprises receiving user input related to a subject matter for learning; searching a database for keywords of material related to the subject matter; generating knowledge areas in response to the keywords of the material; searching one or more databases for modules that include material related to the subject matter in response to the generated knowledge areas; populating a map with the knowledge areas; and associating, in the map, modules with the knowledge areas. The subject matter for learning may comprise career skills, job skills, academic disciplines, or areas of general knowledge. For example, the methods, systems, and storage media may be configured to create personalized curriculum based on career type, industry, company, role, or discipline.

Abstract: A radiant barrier system may reduce heat flow into a structure. A radiant barrier system may include at least one internal airspace positioned between at least two radiant barrier layers having a reflectivity rating of at least 90%, the at least two radiant barrier layers comprising a layer positioned on top of the at least one internal airspace that reduces radiant heat flow by emissivity and a layer positioned below the at least one internal airspace that reduces radiant heat flow by reflectivity. A radiant barrier system may be incorporated between roofing products such as flexible roofing underlayments, sheet goods (i.e., plastic, metal or fiberglass), and wood products (i.e., plywood or oriented strand board (OSB)) and combinations thereof A radiant barrier system also may be integrated into wall products.

Abstract: A motion base for an apparatus for subjecting a user to sensory experience is provided. The motion base has a motion generator for moving a platform about at least one axis of rotation. The platform supports the user such that the user's center of gravity is substantially coincident with the center of rotation of the platform. The active elements of the motion generator are separate from the elements that support the weight of the apparatus and the user.

Abstract: Gathering unit attaching apparatus is provided for a forage harvester of the type having a basic processing unit and a crop gathering unit which articulates in a vertical plane relative thereto. The attaching apparatus includes an attaching yoke pivotally mounted on a fixed transverse axis provided on the basic unit in proximity of the feed rolls. The attaching yoke provides a movable auxiliary axis about which the gathering unit pivots during the attaching process and securing elements for locking the gathering unit to the yoke for field operation. Apparatus is provided on the basic unit for pivoting the yoke about the fixed axis between a lowered generally forwardly extending pickup position and raised operating and transport positions.

Abstract: A forage harvester of the type having a rotary reel cutterhead and a feed roll mechanism for feeding crops to the cutterhead is provided with improved drive means for the feed roll mechanism including a forward chain drive arrangement incorporating intermediate shafts and an electromagnetic clutch and a reverse chain drive arrangement incorporating a second electromagnetic clutch, both drive arrangements being driven from the cutterhead drive and driving a common output shaft operatively connected with the feed roll mechanism. An electrical remote control switch operates the electromagnetic clutches for mutually exclusive engagement, or with neither clutch engaged, to produce remotely controlled shifting of the mechanism between forward, idle and reverse drives.
