  • Publication number: 20120055107
Abstract: Window assemblies that include window casings are disclosed. One exemplary embodiment of a window assembly includes a window casing that is assembled with a window frame by clips. Each clip is compressed between the window casing and the window frame as the window casing is moved toward an installed position. The clips expand at the installed position to retain the window casing to the window frame at the installed position. Another exemplary embodiment of a window assembly includes a window casing with a top member and side members that are connected by mitered mating surfaces and provide the appearance that the top member and the side members are butt jointed.

  • Patent number: 6625888
Abstract: A pruning device includes a blade mounting jaw and an opposing jaw. A blade is removably mounted on a blade mounting portion of the blade mounting jaw to cut vegetation positioned between the jaws as the jaws are closed. A blade retainer is movable between a blade retaining and blade releasing positions with respect to the blade mounting portion and has a forward blade engaging portion. In its blade retaining position, the blade retainer secures the blade to the blade mounting portion. A forward edge portion of the blade is received between the forward blade engaging portion and the blade mounting portion. A rearward blade engaging structure and the blade mounting portion support a rearward portion of the blade. In its releasing position, the blade retainer releases the blade for replacement. Grip portions are operatively connected to the jaws to open and close the jaws.

  • Patent number: 4489525
Abstract: A replaceable spindle locking system for a power tool enables an operator to replace a lock member without disassembling the tool. An externally-accessible retaining member, such as a washer, is trapped between a ledge located in a housing recess and a shoulder formed on the lock member, which is normally spring-biased out of engagement with a driven member. The coaction of these elements simultaneously and releasably normally retains both the lock member and the retaining member connected to the housing. When it is desired to replace the lock member, the operator depresses the lock member against the urging of the spring until the lock member is out of retaining engagement with the retaining member. Then the retaining member is slideably moved out of engagement with the lock member, thereby allowing the operator to quickly remove it.
