  • Patent number: 11868117
Abstract: An industrial automation component may receive design information associated with an arrangement of one or more industrial automation components in an industrial automation system and identify a first portion of the industrial automation components in the industrial automation system that is unable to interface with a second portion of industrial automation components based on the design information. The industrial automation component may then generate a list of industrial automation components based on the first portion of the industrial automation components and the second portion of industrial automation components, wherein each of the list of industrial automation components is configured to translate a first set of data associated with the first portion of the industrial automation components to a second set of data configured to be at least partly interpretable by the second portion of industrial automation components.

  • Publication number: 20240002040
Abstract: A pneumo-mechanical landing gear deployment system includes a dual-stage handle operatively connected to a pressurized tank, a nose landing gear pneumatically connected to the pressurized tank, and a main landing gear pneumatically connected to the pressurized tank. Actuation of the dual-stage handle to a first position opens the pressurized tank thereby deploying the nose landing gear. Actuation of the dual-stage handle to a second position causes further opening of the pressurized tank thereby deploying the main landing gear. The system may be employed as a backup landing gear deployment system in the case of a primary landing gear system failure.

  • Publication number: 20230410196
Abstract: A set of instruments is divided into groups of instruments. Order data is received for the set of instruments. When an update interval elapses, a group is selected for update of a midpoint price. For each instrument in the group, a current midpoint price is computed based on order data received for the instrument. If the current midpoint price differs from a previous midpoint price, the current midpoint price is published.

  • Publication number: 20210371875
Abstract: A combined system comprising two separate components, wherein the first component is a tag-exchange donor vector (TEDV) encoding a first cell surface tag (CST) exon flanked by a 3? intron fragment, and a gene of interest (GOI) in the antisense orientation, and the second component is an engineered cell containing within its genome a tag-exchange receiver site (TERS), encoding a second CST exon adjoined by a full intron sequence to an exon encoding a transmembrane domain, and also encoding a reporter gene in the antisense orientation, wherein paired recombinase mediated cassette exchange (RMCE) elements are included in the TEDV and TERS such that execution of RMCE between the TEDV and TERS results in exchange of the reporter element for the GOI encoded by the TEDV, and exchange of the first CST exon for the second CST exon, such that the derivative engineered cell now expresses the first CST and GOI, in place of the second CST and the reporter gene.

  • Publication number: 20210303557
Abstract: The invention is a database query and visualisation system that is configured (i) to provide an interface with which a user can specify one or more queries; (ii) to generate a response to each query which is displayed as a table, graph or other visual representation; and in which the system is configured to process each query as a layer, where a layer is a node in a directed graph, and a set of nodes forms a notebook. The notebook is therefore made up of one or more layers; each layer generally corresponds to a step in the query. The notebook can be presented vertically down a scrollable page or as a dashboard. A query in a layer is transformed by the system into an exact, unambiguous, query in a database query language, such as SQL.

  • Publication number: 20210272211
Abstract: A method includes receiving confirmation that an insurance policy was issued to a subscriber. The insurance policy is associated with a trigger event that would trigger a subscriber claim based on the policy. The method includes determining a plurality of factors that would affect an occurrence of the trigger event. The plurality of factors includes a political factor and an economic factor. The method also includes evaluating a likelihood of the trigger event occurring based on the plurality of factors and providing reinsurance to an issuer of the first insurance policy. The method also includes sponsoring a catastrophe bond to be offered to investors based on the trigger event.

  • Patent number: 10875115
Abstract: A method for joining a first part formed of an aluminum material to a second part formed of a steel material by metal inert gas welding and cold metal transfer is provided. An aluminum filler material forms a fillet joint between the parts and provides a structure for automotive body applications, such an aluminum bumper extrusion joined to a steel crush box connection. The first part includes a notch for hiding the start and end of the joint. A transition plate formed of a mixture of aluminum material and steel material can be disposed between the first part and the second part to provide the notch. The second part can include a mechanical fastener further joining the parts together. In another embodiment, the second part includes a plurality of dimples and is welded to the first part along the dimples.
