Publication number: 20240286214Abstract: Example electrode connection systems and devices for samples during an electrochemical machining program are disclosed. In particular, an electrode connection system can support, hold, encase, and/or otherwise maintain contact with a sample in an electrochemical machining system. For example, the sample may be housed in a fixture, with an electrode in electrical contact with the sample and a common return path (e.g., to ground) for current from an electrolyte solution to flow through the sample. The fixture and sample can include an electrically conductive material.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 27, 2024Publication date: August 29, 2024Inventors: Evans Mogire, Michael Edward Keeble, Andrew Nocom, Rudolf Mathias Mayer, Zachary Swedo

Patent number: 8215805Abstract: A recessed light fixture has vertical tilt and horizontal rotation adjustments recessed radially outwardly from a trim aperture defining ring for a cleaner aspect of the lamp aperture. A lamp holder is reachable through the trim aperture for manually returning the lamp holder from a tilted position to a vertical position and is releasable downward from the fixture for relamping in response to manual pulling force. A mechanical memory returns the lamp holder to the initial tilted position upon reinsertion of the lamp holder and release of the manual pulling force. The lamp fixture can be miniaturized to a size of about 2.5 inches in diameter and sized to fit in a ceiling cutout of about 3.5 inches in diameter.Type: GrantFiled: May 22, 2009Date of Patent: July 10, 2012Assignee: USAI, LLCInventors: Frank Cogliano, Stanley Edward Mayer, Patrick Fuchs, Christopher William McQuillan

Publication number: 20080185242Abstract: A torque transfer limiting arrangement includes a housing, an input drive shaft, an output drive shaft, and an output cam plate having a plurality of ball ramps with a plurality of balls for transmitting input torque to the output cam plate. A stator assembly is rotatably fixed relative to the housing, and includes at least one stator friction disc. A rotor assembly includes at least one rotor friction disc rotatable relative to the stator friction disc. A sensing spring permits axial displacement of the output cam plate when the input torque exceeds a predetermined maximum limit, whereupon the plurality of balls in the ball ramps cause axial displacement of the output cam to thereby drive the clutch into an engaged state causing relative rotation between the rotor and stator friction discs for isolating and frictionally dissipating the input torque.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 1, 2008Publication date: August 7, 2008Applicant: Curtiss Wright Controls Inc.Inventors: Edward A. Patent number: 6168060Abstract: A bag strap functions as a one-shoulder carrier or a two-shoulder carrier at any time according to the desire of the golfer. Reconfiguring the strap to convert from a one-shoulder type to a two-shoulder type, or visa versa, is easy and quick and can be accomplished even during a round of golf. The strap comprises two nested layers. When the two layers are secured together by a VELCRO hook and loop fastener and secured to upper and lower back rings by hooks, the strap functions as a one-shoulder strap. The nested configuration permits a comfortable, padded one-shoulder strap that is still reasonably thin and not unduly heavy and thick. Alternatively, strap layers may be separated from each other and the lower ring used as a slip through ring for an elongated belt secured by a slide-release buckle for encircling the golfer. Each layer is worn over a respective shoulder with the bag carried diagonally across the golfer's back.Type: GrantFiled: September 13, 1999Date of Patent: January 2, 2001Inventor: Edward Mayers

Patent number: 6145245Abstract: A universal floral bouquet assembly secures a keepsake to a floral bouquet arrangement. In particular, a container is provided having an upright probe projecting vertically from the center of the container. Floral foam that receives a bouquet of flowers is pressed into and through the probe. A receptacle associated with the keepsake frictionally engages the opposite end of the probe to securely support the keepsake above the floral arrangement. The receptacle may be integral to the base of the keepsake or may be a component of a transition piece, called an intermediate support, upon which the keepsake, such as a cylindrical candle, is secured. The supporting components are inexpensive to manufacture and ship, simple to assemble, provide firm support for the assembled arrangement during its transportation, and are small and unobtrusive, resulting in an aesthetically pleasing, but inexpensive floral/bouquet arrangement. The components are also reusable for those applications that require this feature.Type: GrantFiled: March 31, 1998Date of Patent: November 14, 2000Assignee: Teleflora LLCInventors: Bryan K. Honkawa, Edward Mayer
