  • Publication number: 20090200363
Abstract: A braze ring includes a generally annular body and an outer annular channel formed on an outer surface of the body. A method of connecting a straight tubular end to a flared tubular end includes locating a substantially annular braze ring substantially concentrically around the straight tubular end, inserting the straight tubular end into the flared tubular end so that the braze ring engages the flared tubular end, and heating the braze ring so that flux separates from an exterior channel of the braze ring and the separated flux from the exterior channel contacts at least one of a faying surface of the flared tubular end and a faying surface of the straight tubular end. Another braze ring includes a body having a substantially symmetric cross-sectional shape forming an inner channel and an outer channel and flux carried within each of the inner channel and the outer channel.

  • Publication number: 20090014341
Abstract: A collapsible beverage carrier having a moveable base support and a squared handle, adapted to be collapsible for safe and easy transport and storage when not in use, said carrier further comprising a top surface plate having a plurality of circular shaped openings positioned therein for receiving a plurality of beverage containers, a pair of circular catches each disposed on opposite sides of the top surface; and a pair of curve shaped hinges positioned at the opposite ends along a base of said top surface plate, wherein two side walls are moveably coupled to the pair of curve shaped hinges such that when the side walls are coupled to the top surface in a first position they each extend downward, laterally away from the top surface and when the side walls are then rotated inward, in opposite directions, toward the top surface they thereby rotate into a “closed” position and extend in a parallel fashion along the base/bottom of the top surface plate.

  • Publication number: 20080065472
Abstract: A computer implemented method is described. Data is collected about a number of member entities that have online interaction with a group entity. A predefined state is assigned to a selected one of the member entities automatically, in response to applying a predefined rule to analyze some of the collected data. The rule is defined in part by the group entity. The method automatically determines whether or not online content is to be delivered to the selected member entity, based on the assigned state. In another embodiment, online content that is to be delivered to the selected member entity is automatically personalized for the selected member entity, again based on the assigned state. Other embodiments are also described and claimed.

  • Patent number: 6681577
Abstract: A combustion case for a gas turbine engine. A typical combustion case is generally cylindrical or conical. Apertures penetrate the case, from the outer surface, through the case, to the inner surface. The apertures act as concentration points for stress. To dissipate the stress, bosses buttress the apertures, with each aperture having two bosses: one on the outer surface of the case, and another on the inner surface of the case. The invention eliminates the latter bosses. The invention dissipates stress by providing an array of T-slots on the inner surface.
