  • Publication number: 20200177721
Abstract: Various embodiments disclosed herein provide for a system for managing and adding contacts. A first mobile device can display an image that can be recorded by a second mobile device. Similarly, the first mobile device can record an image displayed by the second mobile device. The image data from each mobile device can be transmitted to a cloud based contact management system, which can match the images to contact information associated with each mobile device. The contact management system can then push the contact details of each mobile device to the other mobile device, and/or link social media accounts associated with each mobile device. The contact management system can also store connection records that represent an ongoing authorization to push contact information changes from each user to the other, respectively.

  • Patent number: 10663402
Abstract: An apparatus and method of measuring free water, also known as undissolved water, in hydrocarbon fuel. A housing defines a chamber and is adapted to receive a fluorescein impregnated filter pad in the chamber between a UV light source and a light sensor. The filter pad is exposed to the fuel causing the free water to react with the fluorescein and is then placed within the chamber between the light source and sensor. The UV light strikes one side surface of the filter pad and excites the reacted fluorescein thereby causing light emitted from the UV light reacted fluorescein filter pad opposite side surface to strike the light sensor. An output from the light sensor is proportional to the fluorescein on the filter pad which reacted with free water and is used for providing an output value representative of the free water present in the hydrocarbon fuel.

  • Publication number: 20200130865
Abstract: A method for aligning and joining a first structure to a second structure in an aircraft is provided. A spacer system having a shape memory alloy is positioned in a gap between the first structure and the second structure. The shape memory alloy is initially in a cooled state. A temperature of the shape memory alloy is increased such that the shape memory alloy changes from the cooled shape to a heated shape to fill the gap and apply a load to hold the first structure in place relative to the second structure. Additional processes may then be performed to join the first structure to the second structure.
