  • Publication number: 20040000592
Abstract: These and other objects of the present invention are attained by apparatus for adjusting the position of a line of light in barcode space that includes a support frame having a rear housing containing a solid state imager and a pair of support arms extending forwardly from the front of the housing. An imaging lens is mounted between the arms for focusing an image of a target in barcode space upon the solid state imager along the optical axis of the imaging lens. Illuminating LEDs are mounted on either side of the imaging lens for illuminating the target. The illumination is passed through a pair of cylindrical lenses that are adjustably mounted upon the distal ends of the arm so that the light can be selectively positioned in barcode space.

  • Publication number: 20030209603
Abstract: The invention is optical assembly for use in a barcode reader that includes a frame having a rear housing and a pair of arms outwardly extended from the housing. An optical card containing an imaging lens is slidably received in a rear guideway situated between the arms. An aperture card is slidably received in a front guideway situated between the arms in front of the lens. Lamp support brackets are also mounted to either side of the arms. Each bracket contains a pair of LEDs that are aligned in coplanar relation with the imaging lens. A cylindrical lens is mounted in front of the lamp support brackets within the arms of the frame to magnify and focus the illumination from the LED upon a target in barcode space. A horizontally extended field stop aperture is positioned in front of each LED.

  • Patent number: 5782438
Abstract: A mounting member for engagement with the housing of a PIR device includes a plurality of elongated, flexible arms for mounting the device in an operative position on a ceiling panel. The arms are hingedly attached to the mounting member and extend to terminal ends which are attached to one another. The arms may be moved toward one another to a flexed position to permit insertion through an opening in the ceiling panel, and return to their unflexed position to engage the panel adjacent the periphery of the opening. A first plurality of relatively short legs having inwardly directed hook portions are provided on the mounting member for engagement with the horizontal flange on an inverted T-shaped track member for supporting ceiling panels. A second plurality of short legs having outwardly directed hooked portions permit engagement of the mounting member with a wall plate having an opening therein.

  • Patent number: 5073681
Abstract: A two-piece wall plate for use with a wall mounted receptacle, switch or other wiring device. A first, frame-like base plate is secured by screws to the mounting ears of the wiring device, and a second, frame-like cover plate is releasably connected to the base plate, in covering relation thereto. A bezel portion of the base plate closely surrounds the periphery of one or more wiring devices mounted in the usual way in a conventional wall box, and extends through a central opening in the cover plate. The cover plate is mounted on the base plate by a snap fit connection provided by elongated grooves in the outwardly facing side surface of the bezel which receive elongated ridges extending inwardly about the boundary of the central opening in the cover plate.
