Abstract: A storage container for one or more magnetic tape cassettes includes a support base and a cassette holding sleeve mounted on the base. The holding sleeve includes two upstanding walls each of which is independently attached to the support base such that it is essentially perpendicular to the support base. The walls are parallel to each other and spaced from one another such that the cassette can fit between them. A top wall is integrally formed with the upstanding walls such that it is essentially coplanar with the support surface. Together the top wall and the upstanding walls form the sleeve. Located on the top wall and projecting toward the support surface are one or more protuberance members which are capable of partially fitting within the capstan locating holes of the cassette to fixedly hold the cassette within the sleeve.
