Patent number: 11933126Abstract: A ball dropping tool includes an outer and inner body, side bore, ball and an actuator. The outer body has an axial bore extending between a first and second end of the outer body and forming a flow path. The inner body forms a bypass passage extending between a first and second end of the inner body. The side bore is defined by the inner body and is disposed at an angle relative to the axial bore of the outer body. The bypass passage is disposed in a portion of the flow path and is in communication with the side bore. The ball is disposed within the side bore. The actuator, disposed within the outer body, is movable between a retaining position wherein the ball is retained within the side bore and a release position wherein the ball is released from the side bore and into the bypass passage.Type: GrantFiled: March 8, 2021Date of Patent: March 19, 2024Assignee: SCHLUMBERGER TECHNOLOGY CORPORATIONInventors: James Edward Atkins, James Andrew Blair Henderson

Publication number: 20110017731Abstract: A container is provided comprising a polygonal shaped external wall with integral floor tabs folded upon one another to form a floor of the container. Concentrically disposed within, and immediately adjacent an interior wall of the polygonal shaped external wall is a complementary shaped internal wall. Disposed within the confines of the internal wall and resting upon the floor of the container is a tray assembly for retaining a package containing the contents to be transported within the container. Provision may be made through a portion of the tray and the complementary walls for emptying of the package within the container. Reinforcement of the walls of the container is obtained by a one or more reinforcement provisions made along the upper edges of the container walls and the container may be closed and covered by a removable cap assembly. Once the container is used, the materials forming the container may easily be recycled or reduced in size for disposal.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 11, 2009Publication date: January 27, 2011Applicant: ANCHOR BAY PACKAGING CORPORATIONInventors: PHILIP TARAVELLA, Edward Blair, Roger Kevin Burchett

Publication number: 20100013178Abstract: A hand truck, for transporting a large pail, includes a frame that has a shaft with one end to which a user handle is attached and another end attached to a middle portion of a U-shaped frame section. The U-shaped frame section has two spaced-apart legs with a separate wheel mounted to each leg. A boom is attached to and projects away from the frame and has a receiver for engaging a handle of the pail. When the receiver is engaging the handle of the pail, rotating the frame about the wheels raises the pail which thereby becomes suspended from the boom. The pail, when suspended, is able to swing freely on the boom without striking the frame or the wheels.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 15, 2008Publication date: January 21, 2010Inventor: James Edward Blair

Publication number: 20070126368Abstract: A programmable wallbox dimmer is disclosed. Upon entering a programming mode, the dimmer presents a main menu from which the user may select one or more features to program. The user may scroll through a list of programmable features by actuating the dimmer's raise/lower intensity actuator. The user may select a highlighted feature by actuating the dimmer's control switch. The dimmer may enter a value selection mode that is associated with the selected feature. In the value selection mode, the user may scroll through a list of features that define the selected feature by actuating the dimmer's raise/lower intensity actuator. The user may select a value for the selected feature. The selected value may be stored in the dimmer's memory.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 5, 2007Publication date: June 7, 2007Applicant: Lutron Electronics Co., Inc.Inventors: Bridget McDonough, Walter Zaharchuk, Edward Blair
